Time and Space.

It appears to me that time and space can have no end. Have you ever thought about this? It's like trying to understand the meaning of life itself, or proving life after death. I guess we are not ready to understand certain things. Any thoughts on this?

Pose123, that is an enigmatic piece of discussion-time and space is one thing that came my apprehensions and fears about existence very hurtful. Even before i read any books to broaden my perspectives of life, i somehow was conscious about the time concept. I new there was a beginning and end. What was most horifying was the concept of end times-infact even my mother had become aware of this fear such that whenever I was disturbing family peace, she would simply make an announcement that the end-time was arriving tomorrow and i would freeze wondering how and by what means my life would end! Even to this ripe prime age, I look at the skies above and wonder who created it and what possibly lies beyond the blue! So I am deep into the belief that there is greater being, a Maser Designer who who knows the full breth and length of the universe and He controls times! The more I see the world from this rather tinted personal lense, the more i believe in God as the Master Creator and indeed the one Omnipotent Power that has knowledge of the end times and knows every space in the Universe he alone created. The more you believe in him like I do, the you awaken to the realization that space and time have a definite end

Hi academic2, Thank you for commenting, but if space and time has an end, what's next?

Yes and I agree with a lot of what you said, very thought provoking Academic. I also find myself more compelled to believe in God or some mighty force with major scientific thoughts, theories and facts. There certainly is a degree to many components of existence that slowly point to design (yes I said it, this is what I believe). Our planet is designed in such away that it can sustain life, changing life and that, and there are several systems in place that seem to protect life and the planet (atmospheric content, exosphere barrier, ozone layer, the past of the planet, and theres tons of other stuff). Even if one would take a more atheistic view, that's fine. It doesn't change the fact its an amazing world and quite a lot of possibilities for the universe/reality.

We are not ready understand certain things, but we now know that space and time are finite. Take time, when you say 'now' that is the end of time...time will flow gradually to reach 'tomorrow'. But tomorrow is not yet reality for people living now. So tomorrow is just an idea. Time as an objective category is finite. And to say that there is 'now ' is to say that there was a beginning of time. So time is not infinite. Time is finite. Space also works something like that though it's little different.

yes, space it can;t be understand. In science fiction, spice is a silent, empty place but in reality, things are very diferent. The equipment ina space station can be so noisly that astronauts working there cannot communicate with one another easly. The noise may affect their work, and may even mean they are able to sleep. And noise is not the only problem.Scientists have identifyed over 8,000 items of rubbish in orbit around the Earth. These threath the safety of space explosion because even a small piece of metal floating in space could cause a catastrophyed disaster if it hit a spacecraft. Althrough astronauts generally try to bring most rubbish home, there is even an old breaked camera among the litter left behind on the Moon.

That is true, there are many instances and things that happen that we do not understand and alot of times never will. I think about things like how the first person came about and things that have been written and interpretated, but not necessarily the truth. It is a big mystery, and it is a bigger mystery what will happen in the end. good, deep, discussion.
