This is good news for the person who is doing it..I know they say it takes more than one person but there are two that I know of that are having the time of their lives just marking me with negatives. I am sure they have told their friends and so on and so on. I am so very excited for these people. I just don't know what I would do without them...I just make their day every time they come here and can mark me negative..I am so happy when I can make others happy....
I just want to say how proud I am of the people that are marking me negative..Spending all that quality time on my little ole discussions..why don't you leave a response as well?....why not, it is a discussion...don't worry, I won't mark you negative because that is not who I am..I am not like you...Hiding behind the negative button.....Come out, come out, wherever you are.....
Thank you so much to all my good friends who know who I am and what I am like...I certainly don't need a star to tell me who I am....Good Grief.....LOL...
How is everybody doing star wise?...I think we should do away with them...
I don't think I am any better than anyone else here. I see all of you as my friends...Why is it some just don't get it? I guess they are not happy until they ruin something for someone else.....

You can contact mylot and point out the two and where you have ran into trouble with them and that you believe it is them attacking your star, mylot will look into it. I did this once and I gained one point back after they attacked me. I had three that were doing to me, little buddies with each other and it all started over one discussion. Also they all three dropped severally in ratings as result. So you may want to try this.

I think it is so petty. I had 100/100 and since someone had a fit over something it has been dropping...They are the ones who will suffer. Their ratings are down also so it just goes to show who they really are. Thank you for your advice....

Thats the only thing I worry about on mylot--- not that my number will go down, but that people will revert to 7th-grade mentality if someone doesn't agree with them!
I have seen one solid case of intolerance lately... aren't we supposed to be safe to state our opinions here??
Don't worry... the childish always end up causing more trouble for themselves than they do for others!!

This will backfire on them. I thought we were all grown ups. Apparently they haven't gotten to that point yet and sadly they probably won't...They have already used my name in a discussion response. I am better than them so I won't worry about it..Thank you for responding...

I don't know why everyone is obsessed with their star rating.Their pay is not that great so I don't see where it would improve your earnings that much.I wouldn't worry about it.As you wrote "I don't need a star to tell me who I am" , right?

Well, I know for certain that one person can sabotage a star rating. I know of two people in here that have done it. Each one was having problems with a person and on seperate occasions they marked negs on their victims. So it is possible to have one person sabotage a star. I have been going down in the reputation department lately and quit comming here for that reason. I figure that I am loosing money here, so why spend wastless time here. I am making better money at another site, where they dont rate people, and delete discussions. I hope your star recovers, I will help by giving you a plus, cuz you are a good person!

I think this is crasey that they can do this If you rate something you atleast hawe to make a respond I think Its not right that you can go around and make - marks sounds stupid to me and I knowe that you diserve a blue star with 100 in it and I think the most of us are in the same upinion.

Boy if yours went down so much, the ones who are doing it to me are probably jumping up and down and have probably declared a national holiday. At least when I give a negative, I do not go to that one's posts and discussions and put a negative on ALL their posts and responses or tell their friends to do the same. So what if my opinion is different from theirs? This is not Nazi Germany or Communist China where we should be afraid to write what we want. Oh and the ones who report something when nothing wrong was done. That really makes me angry. I wonder if the negative ratings do affect my pay, I suspect the negative raters think so. Maybe Mylot should write a message explaining that it does not.

I never had one problem until I defended my daughter on here and this person started in on me and my rating is going down because of it. I don't need the star but it does make me mad to think that they can just go and rate all my posts negative. Hopefully they won't be rating everyone that responds to mine negative either. Thank you.

really???i cant believe that there are peolpe here in mylot doing such thing!!...i really cant belive it... all i know is that er are here for good conversation and to meet new friends and make it a true friends that somehow we can keep them and someday meet in person to have a better relationship....at least you are making happy hahaha lol......dont mind them.... they are happy for that so be it....for as long as you know that you are not hurting anyone here in mylot....just continue kicking..

Yes, it is sad that certain people are always so negative. But I am not going to quit coming to Mylot because of some ignorant people..I have made alot of really good friends here and I will be staying for a very long time..Thank you for your response.

anyways, Star doesn't matter as such. I don't know what has happened in my absence but People on mylot, who have known you for long would not see at your star to weigh you. The new comers will face the reality soon, so no worries there either, as such. But, I do understand your feeling about Why? why people do it anyway! why they need to or have to do it? they waste their time in doing this kind of stuff and getting nothing as such other than satisfaction of their ego which I understand is something big for some people on here. I, myself, kind of like my star color, it fits well with my Avatar!:-)
Anyway, you were and you are the same Feona before and after that negative rating rampage of some people. Still, I hope that you get back your blue star!

I hope that people do understand that by discussion and communication, issues are better resolved rather than by petty things like negative rating. I don't care if my own star goes further down, just because I want people to act positively. I do see that you are continuing to lose points but I would like you don't, though there may be little that can be done.
I don't know about the person you are talking about but if it were me, my self esteem won't allow me to visit someone who don't like my presence, under any circumstances, other than a situation where I am called for help or to solve a problem. Even, if I 'feel' that I am bothering, I usually quit. Every body has right to has his/her own opinion about it but at least it shouldn't hurt anyone.

Thank you Kamran. It is going down as we speak..This very person called my daughter a who*e the other day..I was over to visit with my grandsons and daughter and this person and her sister were yelling stuff at the top of their lungs for what reason, I have no clue. Only that they are so immature...It is okay because we are not like them and do not hide behind the negative button...This all started because this person was upset because my daughter and her husband want to be alone when he comes home from work...And the problem is...She is jealous of my daughter and her hubby and she is just mad because she can't be over there when he is at home...she doesn't live there so why should she be at my daughters house when her hubby comes home? I wouldn't want anyone at my house when my hubby comes home from a long, hard day at work...Who does she think she is anyway? How sad that I am getting dragged into this...I will defend my daughter though...This person is just one miserable human being and isn't worth my time....Thanks for listening....Your star does match your avatar..Is there a green star, because green is my favorite color?...LOL..I know that she will come in here and rate you a negative because you responded to this discussion and I am sorry but I have no control over stupid people...

Sorry if they're doing this to you friend. Don't worry you're still 10 star for me! I know how such a nice person you are and no star rating can change that.
I don't really think of the star that much as I know it can be change by anybody anytime for whatever reason. And your star rating is not you...correct! it's just a number....and so what if you got 9 star? or 8 star like mine??? who cares? me? I don't..I have friends who are worth more than any number!

That is how I think of it too! I have alot of wonderful friends and no amount of negatives from some one is going to change that fact..These people will get their dues...The star is stupid and I don't look at it when I go into a discussion. I don't judge anyone by their star. It is just a symbol...If they hope by doing this that I will leave Mylot it isn't going to happen...Thanks for being my friend..Pretty soon I will have an 8 like you and we can be the same...I am not better than anyone else...

Im sorry to hear this.Someone ,i know who because of their advatar yesterday was answering all my discussions with the same thing over and over in everyone.It was insulting what they said "you must spend alot of time thinking of good topics,keep up the good work,blah,blah,"it was meant to be ignorant.If you want to see,go to my topic about onions and see who it is.I feel sorry for them actually.I told them dont bother wasting your time by bugging me because it wont work and go bug someone else!.Go look.I feel that there should not be NO ratings here at all,we are not in school where we are suppose to be graded on our topics.If so ,then i will leave and go back to school because i know i will get better grades there at least!

First of all let me say that myLot needs to get rid of these stupid stars. I was in grade school the last time I ever cared about stars. They also need to get rid of the moderators who are responsible for allowing petty minded people to influence the ratings. I know who are my friends and I don't give a flying flick what color or number their stars are. Now regarding your postings I have never come across any discussion or response which could even remotely deserve a negative rating.

That is just the problem. I have never done anything to deserve a negative rating. But it is okay because the stars are stupid. I have alot of great friends and I know who I am. I don't use the stars to determine which post I am going to respond to anyway...I respond because the post is of interest, it doesn't matter who writes it.. Thank you for your response..

Well, you know there are negative people & there are malicious people. I just imagine what these people think they are getting out of trying to bring your you down. Clearly, it's not working, as yiu are not going to let mindless creeps get to you.
By all means, report these people to My Lot, if you have evidence of what they are doing.

Thank you very much. I had no problems until a certain incident and then it all started from there. They got caught at something they did wrong and now they want to blame it on me...It is just so stupid to be doing this but it will backfire on them and then they will back off....

It's always puzzled me why people would waste their time on this sort of thing? Really, don't they have lives? How pathetic do you have to be to waste time following someone around on mylot hitting '-' all the time?
I had this happen to me quite a while ago now, and I never did get back to a 10 star. I was kind of bothered actually, not because I care what my star is, but because I was wondering who I offended and if I had actually said something mean to them. But of course really it's just that I'm so non-mainstream that I'm offensive to people just existing, so there isn't much I can do about that. =p
I think it's great that you're not the type of person who would be saying "I'll get back at you" or something. =)

This person has no life. It is funny because they make me feel special by going into all of my posts and responses in order to do this, so it is pretty weird that they would want to spend so much time on someone they don't like...They will be reading all of these but will never respond because they are cowards...Actually all this has nothing to do with me, they are mad because they did a no no and feel stupid because they got caught and now they want revenge....Oh well..

I hate the star rating and hope they do away with it. People abuse the rating system and don't use it for the right reasons so not to worry Feona1962, we know your 100% genuine and as for those who are rating you negatively, not to worry, what goes around comes around is all I've got to say :)

All I can say is it is their time wasted not mine. I just hope they don't rate all of you negative because of this discussion..You are a very good friend and I appreciate all your kind words..I reported them so we will just have to wait and see what happens..

I am sure they are having fun. I must say, they must be very lonely people who have heaps of time on their hands. What a great life they must have spending their time doing this. But i can see the difference between them and us. We have friends who care about each other. And that is what counts. I dont pay much attention to the star ratings of people, as i make my own judgement of people. But i dont like seeing my friends here being put down.
Best wishes my friend, and try not to let them get to you. You are a much better person than them

well thats pretty sad how that person can do that,wow they have such a great life and nothing better to do but be immature and very childish.tell you the truth i still dont know what the star is all about and i really dont pay any mind to it,in my books you always rate positive to me and you will always be a 10.they always say pay backs are a......well you can fill that in.lol what comes around goes around and she will get hers in the long run.who cares about the stars anyway,we are here for the friendship and to help one another out as much as we can,and i know you have helped me out and we have a great friendship,so just smile and keep up the great work you are doing.hey maybe our stars will go down to a 1.which would be great cause then we would be number 1.lol.lets zapped those stars away,ready,1 2 3 boom.hugs pattie

Thanks Pattie, I am here for friendship as well. I love it here and I am not leaving no matter if my star disappears...LOL...I enjoy your posts and helping people and I have gotten alot of help here as well.
