I am excited - only two weeks left!

Some of you might know this already but I just need to voice out my happiness again here *laughs*. I will be jobless in two weeks (hurray to that!). I have been spending more than 5 years with this company but I just lost the motivation for it. I probably need something new and something freshness in my life. Well, I know that people say it's one hell to another and I am prepared for that *laughs*. I am pretty excited about my career break though. I got so much to catch up with the "real" life (not the working-eating-sleeping one). *laughs* I just need to share the joy around here!

IT is really nice to interact with a person who laughs , and smiles very much. In life it is very very important to be happy , in whatever you do, of course you should ensure that you are financially secure, otherwise you will have other problems. even i like to break with this monotonous life , wish you all the best in your new found freedom.

I am prepared financially because I thought about quitting for quite awhile. Anyway, if I break for a few months and get a job later, should be no problem! *smiles* I am all happy with my new found freedom!

That happened to me when i was working as a teacher for a very strict school... then it happened again when i returned teaching... i love teaching... i just hate the system that school administrators are imposing on teachers... that is why after i got fed up... i quit and decided to be with my baby more... I also decided that if ever i take another job it will be under my own terms (although i will not be too demanding)... good thing i found one that i love though i still plan to go back teaching in the future...

Cool! I hope your dream will come true by the time you are 40 then! Indeed I quitted last year and planned to be jobless around June, then my boss wanted me to stay and help till this month end. Since I didn't have anything lined up, I thought it would be a good idea to save some more money too. So I have been looking forward to this break for around 1.5 year already! Amazing ha?

Hello wondericequeen, 1.5 year? That is quite long. I have no choice now but to wait. That will be the best, I think. But honestly speaking, whenever I decided on something, I just couldn't wait that long...like you did! Oh, my...

Being jobless is not bad as long as you are financially well-off. If not, it's very stressful. Just imagine the basic needs to fill everyday which surely requires money like food and other necessities. You are lucky and I am green with envy. Haha.

Hi my friend, I really admire your laughing. Very few people that I know will be joyful when they will be jobless unless they have something better to look forward to. Hope you will enjoy working in your next job. Best wishes for your career.

Yay! It probably feels good to be getting out a job you don't like anymore. Do you have any ideas about what you want to do now?? Or are you just gonna see what comes to you?

Where do you plan to travel? Where do you currently live? I say, if you live in a big city, travel to a small town somewhere and vice versa, just to see different perspectives. Or try going to another country, pick somewhere totally exotic and just go.

I am going to take a break and travel first, then I will find a job when I get back in town.

good for you! sometimes there is more to life than work. I was once in a job where I had to work unpaid overtime, I was so pleased when I left! Life is a soller coaster ride, full of highs and lows. Things always work out in the end!

I was about to say good for you but then it might seem inappropriate for other people. In any case I know the feeling as I have been there before. It really feels like being liberated when you leave a job that you no longer love nor care about. And since you are prepared financially then I believe it would really be a nice to just take things slow and enjoy life. Cheers!

I've quit some jobs that were not my style (to say the least), too. The happiness and relief were replaced by worrying about bills. Do you have another job waiting? Do you have some other way to pay your bills? If you're all set with another job or some way to pay your bills, then congratulations. Otherwise, I hope you get some way to pay your bills. Congratulations, hope your career break is a happy one and relatively worry free. Take care

*laughs* Yes I know! It's like when you have money, then suddenly there are more expenses to cope with! Anyway, I will find a job right away when I get back from my travel and since I am not really picky, I am sure I could at least get a job (maybe not the ideal one, but who cares, I don't really believe there is an ideal job unless I am working for myself *laughs*). Thanks for your good wishes, I will surely keep everyone updated and be around!

I just read the rest of your post. You have money ahead. VEry good, I hope you get another job before it runs out. I did the same thing once, got lots of money ahead, but unexpected expenses and not being able to get a job in time ruined it for me. I hope your situation works out exactly the way you planned. Then I will be truly happy for you. Take care

Its nice that you can laugh on while leaving your job. It may be right from your viewpoint that you need a little time away from job. Best of luck for whatever you do.

that's what I did when I worked. I kept saving and saving because I just couldn't stand it I knew I would quit someday. So now I only work part time, not so much stress and still careful spending money as usual. I hope you'll find the work you really like to do someday.

I switched jobs about 6 months ago because the other one was getting so old. So i know what your saying about that. Enjoy your time off.
