I never understood why people decorate for Christmas before Thanksgiving is even here. We haven't even had Halloween yet and there is Christmas stuff out. Why can't we just get through one holiday at a time? Does this bother anyone else?

I like to decorate for christmas the day after Thanksgiving. But no sooner than that. I love the christmas decor so much I want to enjoy it for a whole month at least.

The day after Thanksgiving is the perfect time to start decorating, but no earlier

It bothers me. We've had Christmas decorations in the stores here since Sept. I hadn't even completely finished my kids school shopping and they had already put the X-mas decorations out. It think it's very irritating.

It is really good to know that I am not the only one bothered by this.

What I find most interesting is that I don't know anyone who it does *not* bother, yet merchants continue to push the envelope each year. Economically, it must pay off, or else, why would they continue to do it? I eventually hope there will be some sort of reverse in which we return back to a somewhat normal schedule.

We have not started decorating yet, but we do have about have of our shopping done. We are on such a budget that we ave to staart shopping really. We are very christmas people I plan on putting the three up the day before thansgiving. I just love christmas, not for the gifts but for the family gathering. from thansgiving on it seems like everyweekend we are getting together to do something. Either it is shopping or dinner there is all ways something goig on and I love it.

Shopping for gifts ahead of time is understandable. I have to do the same, but I just have a hard time with the decorations being up and out in stores before we can get through Thanksgiving or even Halloween. I love Christmas for the same reason you do. It is a chance for family to get together and enjoy everyones company.
