I couldn't figure out how my washer got done so far ahead of my dryer.... Then I went to put the clothes from the washer in the dryer. DUH I hate it when I do that!

I don't forget to turn it on, but I sometimes forget to close the lid. I put the soap in and start it and it fills up while I am putting the clothes in. I guess I get distracted and forget to close the lid.

I did that when I had a top loader too. Now that I have a front loader I don't do that any more. :) YOu are so right, the smallest distractions can make me forget what I was doing.

I am usually doing the opposite! I put the clothes in the dryer and forget to start it. Yes, it does drive me crazy because it is like waisted time!

lol I've done that too! It makes laundry take that much longer.

I do this with the dishwasher all the time. I load up the dishes and put the soap in and then forget to press the button. After a while then I go back to put away all the clean dishes and they are still dirty. Arrrghhh! Probably I would do that with the clothes, too, except that my hubby does most of the laundry. He does leave the clothes in the dryer though and I don't like them all crumpled up0, so I am the one who goes to get them out once they are dry.

Yes, and its not a rare thing. It happens a few times. Luckily I've gotten better with it since childhood but it still happens.
