I just got a job posting on a disability website called Disaboom.com. They pay me $20 a post! It's my first real job, I plan to earn at least $200 on this website. I'm nervous, because it's my first real job. Any advice?

Sounds like a real good offer. Congrats. How long should a word post be? Is it a temporary job? Wishing you good luck.

It has two be at least 250 words in order to get the $20. I think I can stay as long as I want to do so; but my initial contract is for 6 months.

Congratulations on your job! I would like to find something like this that I could do from home and make that kind of money so that I could quit my job and enjoy my time with my kids. I am sure that you will do fine with this as you seem very motivated!!

I would like to find another job as well in a more traditional environment, helping disabled people and writing. That way I could keep the money from this job for pocket money and activism because I would have a real income from my other job. Still this is at least a start.

Congratulations and much success. Hope you do very well and enjoy. Starting any new job can be rather nerve wrenching. You'll do just fine. Is Disaboom a writing site?

Yes, it's disability centered site, but I write for them. Original Content!

No, not everyone can join. You have to have a disability and audition of the site called Disaboom. It's a disability arts and culture website.

That sounds like great pay for posting. The usual pay for writing is often so low that it wouldn't be worth my time if I didn't enjoy it. For example I was paid $50 for a 750 word newspaper article. I enjoyed the research and writing it and it was fun to see my work in print but if you figure in all the time I spent on interview and research as well as editing, I was probably paid less than minimum wage. Writing is a tough gig for most of us.

Congrats on your new job. That sounds like a good start you have going there. My advise would be just keep things fresh, and don't over work yourself. You want to have good articles, not a bunch of bad ones because you could use this to further your career in the future. Good luck to you. :)
