I learned how to ride a bike when i was a little kid, my older brother taught me how. At first i had a was riding a bike with another small two wheels on each side for support. The as i got older i tried my brother's bike which is bigger and higher, i was so scared at first but i really wanted to learn. In the beginning, he holds the back of my seat and helps me balance, then when i start pedaling he will jst release it once i gain my balance but sometimes when i know he's not holding anymore i will get scared and jst lose control and drop down the bike. Everyday we practiced and that's how i got confidence once i knew it's just ok as long as i can balance myself already and i trusted the (magic) brakes! hehehe.. NOw, that i'm already married, my husband jst bought me a bike since he has one so that if we want to go biking i have my own. We usually go biking once or twice a month in our area where there is a long nice biking trail where a lot of bikers go. We don't go biking in the road since it's dangerous specially on highways, we take our bikes and jst ride them there. We enjoy a fun time biking. how about you? do you know how to ride bikes too? who taught you how?

We don't go biking all the time only when we get too. it's fun since there's a nice biking trail close to our house. I think i was under 10 also (about 8 - 9)when i started to learn how to ride a bike. It was one of my hobby when i was a kid. i was really happy to know how to ride a bike back then :) CORRECTION: at first i was riding a bike with two small wheels, please omit "had" . jst want to correct the clerical error.

I also learned how to ride a bike when I was a little kid. I learned from my parents and from my older brother and sisters. I haven't tried to ride a bike in years though. I have a knee injury and a back injury and the last time I tried to ride one it was just too painful so I have given up trying to ride it. I used to have a lot of fun riding though.

Hello claire!(",) Good to know that you learned how to ride a bike.(",) Sad of me because although I had been practicing alot when I was a kid but unfortunately until now I haven't learned how to ride a bike. I have so many bruised when I started practicing but my parents discouraged me to continue because of my acquired wounds and bruises. Hope that it's not yet too late for me to learn.hehehe

hi... i was referring to my childhood. mom is pretty paranoid.. LOL... actually, she has alot of fears and phobias. for example, she is afraid of water so she prohibits me to go swimming. it was not until i was in freshman highschool that i've got to exert my love for swimming... didn't tell her i was swimming often 12-ft deep pool...LOL... and dove into it...LOL... so i am now of age that i am trying out the things i was not allowed to do when i was younger...

Yeah, I know how to ride a bike.. Actually I had bought one bike about a year back for myself, but my elder brother needed it more as he was about to settle in another state.. So, he took it there, and I bought a car, a 2nd hand one.. But now, I am feeling the craze to ride a bike again, and I would be buying one in a month from now, when I have enough funds...

I learnt to ride a bike when I was about ten on a huge bike that my father had. It was the biggest bike in China. It was 28 inches with the brand Forever made in Shanghai. My playmates and I went to learn to ride together with this huge bike on the city centre sport ground. When one was riding, all the others were helping holding the rear of the bike to balance it. I was the first one to have learnt how to ride without anyone helping balance the bike, followed by all my other playmates. It was so wonderful a feeling to have learnt how to ride such a huge bike. Right now, my bike is still my major transportation tool when I go to the downtown area to do some shopping and I also ride my bike from my apartment to the office within five minutes or so.

I learned to ride when I was 6 years old. We call the two small wheels on each side, training wheels. I had the training wheels also, but my dad took them off when I could balance well. Of course I had my share of falls, too! I do not own a bike. The last time I did ride (on my son's bike) my knees complained, so I don't try any more. I'm glad you enjoy. It is very good exercise.

I learned when I was five but you wouldn't catch me on a bike now. :) Maybe if we were going mountain biking but biking around town just seems so..... lame. OK I'm afraid I'd look silly. :)

you are right.. mountain biking is more interesting than biking around town BUT you won't be able to do real mountain biking if you don't have a "biker condition" and that means you should (i dont say you have to!) start with boring things like biking around the town.. at least it is a good start... just because you are fit and think you have condition doesn't mean you are fit to do mountainbiking.. I guess people know that there are "various kinds of condition"

Hi there claire. :) Yeah I know how to ride a bike. It started when I was a kid too. That's when I was 8 years old. Me and my bro next to me used to ride a bike in going to school. That was our means of transportation whenever our parents were going to ask us for something that was far from our home. Those times, the streets were not as busy as now a days. So, our parents allow us to rode bikes. Honestly, I enjoyed it a lot. :)

My cousin who was a year older than me taught me how to ride a bike. She did it just the way your brother taught you he he he he...I was also at first afraid, but she held on to the back of my seat...and she started letting it go slowly...and it felt SO good to ride on a bike. After that, I rode my bike everywhere...It's been a long time since I last rode a bike, though he he he... I don't own a bike here 'coz it's so cold during long periods of time in Finland, so I don't think I'll own a bike in a long time. It's good that your hubby and you have the same hobby! ;-D

Hi claire! Its really interesting to know how you learned to bike and how you do go biking with your husband. As for me, I learned to bike when I was a teenager. Then we had to pay money in order to learn how to bike. Though its been long I biked. Thanks

I tried to learn it when I was a little kid but finally I had to give it up because I found it was hard to keep balance on the bike.T_T I am the only one child who cannot ride a bike in my whole family, lol.I had learnt it in a summer holiday when I was a primary school student. My cousin taught me enough but I thought my skill was poor that's to say, I had never ridden on the rode.Because I always fell down from the bike so finally I had to give it up.

Unfortunately, for me, I never learned how ride a bike, it wasn't because I got scared of it but merely because I do not have the opportunity. I'm the eldest and the only girl in the family. Our father tried to teach us when we were kids, but it was only my two younger brothers who pursued it. I only stay with my family in Digos during summer because I go to school in Davao City. Summer is the only opportunity for me to have fun and learn to bike because in the city I was not allowed to go out of house since we lived in the slum before and my auntie who take care of me is so strict and doesn't want me to hurt myself because she's afraid that my parents will get angry with her. So, I think it was due to this that's why I didn't learn how to ride a bike.

I also know how to ride a bike when i was a kid, my father bought the bike with small another two wheel on which side. My father or my brother will teacfh me how to ride it. So every evening, my sister and i will ride it outside our house. Because of that two small wheel, so i wont' fall down. When i know how to control it, my father suggest to take away that two wheel. In my memory, i already can't remember whether i got fall down or not. As i know, i ahve a fun with my sister by riding the bike.
