Well the fall colors are at about 75% here in my city. This is a shot of one angle of my Red Maple tree in my front yard. I think it's beautiful with the orangish red leaves. I just aren't looking forward to all the raking coming up all too soon. HAHAHA! Just wanted to share this beautiful photo. So are the leaves really colorful in your area? Can you maybe post a picture for us all here as a response of some of the fall colors in your area? Thanks in advance all. Have a great day/evening. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB!!~

The way we had wind and rain down here last night I thought there would be no leaves left on the trees..but fortunately some are hanging on for dear life and hopefully we'll still have a little fall. I am heading up to upper Wisconsin for the weekend and ususally the drive is beautiful....hopefully I'll get a little taste of fall.

Back Garden In Autumn - A Schumack in the back garden, turning red in early Autumn.
What a beautiful picture, Grandpa Bob. I love Autumn colours. We're not quite as advanced as that in the UK but I took a picture of the Schumack tree which is changing colour and has reds in it already. In two or three weeks, this tree will be a rich red colour, like fire flames. It gives one a warm feeling in the colder months. Brightest Blessings.

The trees have not really been changing here yet. I know where some pretty trees are when the change comes. Some are red maples, and some are Bradford Pears. I will look around for some pictures. See what I can come up with. I think we have at least a month before we have the color.

The colours here are peaking, and will be perfect in about a week or so. It's been freakishly warm though, and it doesn't really put me in the mood for fall. I usually like to bake with the fresh apples etc, but, it's been so hot, it really still is shorts and sandals weather.

It's been in the mid and high 70's here now also. About 10 to 20 degrees above normal. Got the humidity coming back this weekend as well. I've picked all my apples and baked them and ate them all already. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

Sorry I don't have a fall and am still wearing shorts. Today was sunny and several plants are blooming. I'm planning to do some potting tomorrow, as getting more pots in the morning.

Scarecrow and Megan - Nope, not leaves, but this is Steve the Scarecrow. Megan's newest best friend. LOL!
Those are beautiful, Bob!!! I love the colors of the fall. My daughters are always picking them up and bringing home the perfect leaves. They are all pressed in my phone books, waiting for the perfect frame to be put in. :) Here's my fall photo for the year...

Thank you very much. I just mow my lawn and mulch the leaves right into the grass. HAHAHA! That's for now. In a couple weeks there will be WAY too many leaves to just mow them over. HAHAHA!! HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

It is still summer weather here, and I'm in southern Ontario, Canada. Just a few of the maples have changed colour...but it hasn't been cold enough to bring out the reds. It seems our autumn comes later and later each year. The tree next to my house is shedding its leaves, and they're all over my back yard. It looks so beautiful though, cause the leaves give off this golden glow, and it just lights everything up. I don't mind cleaning them up because I find it to be so peaceful and relaxing. Plus I leave the majority of the leaves on the ground anyway -- it makes great compost! :-)

Very pretty! They haven't started much here... I live in Central PA. The peak is supposed to be the week of Oct. 22nd, so my daughter has her senior pictures scheduled to be taken that week. I can't wait to see them! I hope the leaves are good and the weather cooperates for her!

Cool. Give me a sparkling maple tree anytime. Raking leaves can be fun, just think of that fresh crisp fall air and all that great exercise.

Well it's too dark to go outside taking photos here now, but yours is certainly very beautiful. Autumn comeslater here in Europe than you seem to have it in the USA, so the leaves are really not turning here yet - maybe just a few begining to turn yellow. It will be the end of the month and well into November before they start to really turn. We have so much rain here, abd everything remains very green for the majority of the year. Thanks for sharing your photo anyway.

Yeah I know the time difference and the season differences also. We've had a really sunny summer and cool weather the last week has speeded up the coloring etc eher in Minnesota. You're welcome as well. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

We are getting some colors, but they are dull and flat. Some of the trees are losing their leaves. Not worth taking a picture. I heard it is because we had a dry summer. This is supposed to make the colors dull. AHave you considered a leaf blower, it sure makes the job easier.

HI GP Bob, here the leaves are getting mostly yellowish but many haven't lost their green color as yet, and I am waiting to be able to make some good shots if it decides to stop raining at least ;) Commented and rated your shot too TheFortunes

It seems to me that the summer has gone by way too fast to my likeing. I guess because it's been a really busy summer is why it went by to fast. :( I do like the fall colors and all but gosh I wish time didn't have to fly by like it does and it seems the older we get the faster it goes on by us. Yet when we're young, we want it to go by fast but it creeps on by but when we get older it flys on by when we want it to slow down. What's wrong with this picture Grandpa? LOL How do we put time reverse, I say? How how how and why why why? LOL :)

My yard here, in Wisconsin, stays green really late! It also turns green really early in the spring. I love it! My yard is sugar maples and lilacs, mostly.. -- Your photo is beautiful! I'll see if my son will take a digital photo here as well, once I get some color..

Hi Grandpa Bob, The eaves here are just starting to change colours. Last autumn it looked like the field behind the house was paved in gold! A lot of the streets had the "gold paved" look to them as well! Your Friend, PurpleTeddyBear!

Wow, that is a beautiful picture. I can't believe it is fall already! Here in the Carolina's it's not really changed too much that I have noticed. I wish it would, because I just love fall and winter! Mostly because I don't sweat (that's another story all together! hahaha!). Anyhow, you enjoy those fall colors, your so lucky! Except for the raking...ugh...I remember that.
