As a mother, I take good care with the bathing of my baby from newborn till first year and I was assisted by my husband with the preparation before we start the bath. This makes bathing our baby easier and safer.

Hi eunixia, My hubby and I took turns bathing our daughter in a baby bath tub until she couldn't fit in it anymore lol. Since she hasn't been in her baby bath tub anymore I have been bathing her, except for weekends when my hubby has more time he will do it! During the week time seems to go by too fast so I usually bathe her during the week. Your Friend, PurpleTeddyBear!

Well, I gave all my 3 kids their baths from birth till about 3 years old. In the beginning, I would prepare all the bathing needs by myself. Eventually, after teaching the househelp how to prepare the newborn's bathing needs, she would do it for me. But I would never let anyone else handle the newborn baby. I was always afraid the baby might accidentally slip off their hands, especially when the baby was wet.

Baby bath - A tub used for babies to bathe in.
I did everything for my older son (including bathing him) when he was a baby. I had my routine all worked out and did it all the old fashioned way. Oil massage, exercise and a bath on a plastic mat on the floor. It helped that my older son was not fussy. With my younger who is now 10.5 months, I bathe him. Though I started off the same as with my older son, I soon switched to a baby tub because I had a C-section this time and I wasn't comfortable bathing him on the ground. Now that he's standing thigs are easier and I no longer need the baby tub.

when he was newborn i do also most of his bathing because my hubby is so scared. but he is the one who prepare everything. from water to the clothes and the towel my son will use. now that he is 1 and 8 months sometimes he took his bath with his dad. and they are really noisy in the bath room.

Hi Eunixia, My baby is 5.5months old. Since she was a newborn until now, my husband always bathes her. I am too scared bathing her, because she is a bit small and I'm scared she will slip off my hand when she is wet. I guess that's just me being paranoid. But I take care other things with my baby.

I mostly do all the bathing of the boys on my own. When our youngest was a newborn I would bring him into the tub with me. He felt safer and more secure laying on my chest for a bath. Now we do not have a bath tub anymore only a shower. I will put all three of the younger boys in there at the same time and they have a great time showering off together, Everything I might need is well within reach so I don't feel the need to have help from anyone.

With me is different. I have son, he almost 14 months next Monday. Since he was born, my husband always took him bath. I just don't dare to hold him and taking him bath ^_^ So, my husband did that for me. But now, sometimes i do that. But with other things, i take good care of my son. I am full time mother ^_^;;
