How often do you go out to eat as a family? Do you enjoy these outings or do you dread them? Do you have small children and if so do they squirm a lot? Is it something you have gotten accustom too? We got out every once in a while but not often. And my kids act pretty good for the most part.

Our kids are grown and many of them have families of their own. We do often get together with the grandkids and take them out. They love going out to eat. We have taken them to a buffet and to a sit-down restaurant. They have always acted well behaved and we all had a great time. Wish I could afford to do this more often.

We go out to eat about four, or maybe five, times a year, at the most. We LOVE those times together. We no longer have small children, which is something of a help. But even when they were small, we were able to enjoy those outings. We just made sure we took things with us to keep the little ones occupied.

Before I became a stay at home mom, we ate out at least 3 times a week. My little guy is so used to eating in restaurants that we almost always get compliments about how well behaved and polite he is. From time to time, he will have a bit of a meltdown, but he's not even 2 yet so that's to be expected. I quit my job away from home in April, and we really cut down on eating out. I have more time to cook now, and less money to waste, so we only eat out about once a week or so on average. It's something that we all enjoy. My son loves it that he can get something different than what Mommy and Daddy are having. He usually picks something different, and then wants part of whatever I am having, too. lol

My son is pretty well behaved when we go out together as a family. Every couple of weeks we treat ourselves to somewhere cheap and inexpensive. We enjoy our family outings.!

We used to go out with the kids occasionally, and it was usually a good experience. We used to go our for special times, like holidays and birthdays. The boys were always big eaters, so we would usually go to a place where it was all you could eat something. My daughter was more into desserts, so she really loved a place that had a variety of them. Years ago, there was a place that offered free child dinners with an adult dinner purchased. We used to go about once a week, and it was cheaper for us than buying something to cook at home. The food there was really good too, and they had the best milk shakes. We still go out with the kids whenever they come home, but most of the time the things we make at home are much better. There aren't many good places to go anymore.

hmmm....I think maybe around 3 times in a month. We used to go out more often when my older son was young. He was pretty well behaved and we never had a problem since the time he was a baby. It's quite stressful with the second one though. We try to plan going out to eat when it's his naptime or else one of us is with him whicle the other eats (which is no fun at all coz we can't enjoy the food). So, most of our trips nowadays are just to keep the older one happy so that he doesn't feel that he lost out on his fun when his little brother has come.

I only dread it because it gives my family and opportunity to get alot of food because they know that I'm paying for it.They love to take advantage of it.

Hubby takes the kids and I out to dinner quite a bit. No where fantastic or anything but we always go to Chineese Buffet, YUM! We really enjoy it there and the kids are good most of the time! They have their occassional day or so when they are bad but most the time they sit and EAT! YUMMO! I have fun going out with my family! I love them sooo much, LOL

I barely eat out till sometime I have to. Money play a role on that, but mostly because my mother is a wonderful cook.In my opinion,it's better to eat home than out.You know, helping MOM with the cooking is funny.

As my wife works 6 days a week we get to eat lunch out on almost every Saturday. Then Sundays her off day we try to get out. Now with my dad being gone from the house I tend to eat dinner out a lot as I hate cooking for just me. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

Let me see, there is our birthdays, Fathers Day, Mothers Day, Easter, and maybe Thanksgiving, but this time they are coming to eat with us. And I would rather go out to a restaurant to eat. Getting rather lazy in my old age and besides my husband is very fussy. He had a mother whose house was so clean, you could eat off the floor literally. I really enjoy the company except my sons are sports fanatics, but we will see the baby and she is not much of a problem.

i have four kids and i am a single mom. if the budget will allow we always eat out every sunday. its our family day. when my children are still young they act pretty good also or else i always tell them if they make a scene then we will not go out anymore. so far so good. now they are all in their teens already and its much easier to bring them out for they dont squirm but it is more expensive to bring them out for they eat a lot.

Well going out to eat is my weakness id say we go out about 5 times a week between lunch and dinner, and my kids are 6 and 2 and have been eating out that much since birth so they are very much acustomed to it, but with that being said we still pack a small bag of restaraunt appropiate toys ,books to keep them busy while waiting to be seated adn for our meals to come out.

A friend of mine came to visit in August and we went out to eat with my son. It was nice, and my son behaved rather well -- I was surprised. My son is Autistic and doesn't understand proper behavior sometimes. He got a french fry from the neighboring table, for example. I apologized to the family, but they thought it was funny. I was very glad of that. I'd like to get my son out more often, but I won't do it alone, it's too difficult.

hi there! one of our characteristics as Filipinos is having a close family ties. we always enjoy being with our family. eating is one way of gathering the family whether it's outside or at home. as a family, we seldom go out to eat, we love to cook at eat at home but sometimes, we find time to gather and eat outside.
