Hi Laura, I think its a good idea. When your shopping online, I think its a good idea to have some feed back. You cant phsycially inspect the product yourself, and the photos might not really show any defects or anything, so if others have bought it before you, and write about it, you can know its flaws or its perks. Ive passed up buying many things because of reviews Ive read, and Ive also bought many things from reviews, and was satisfied with the product. Too bad local stores you can actually buy from dont do this. They should have a product review somewhere! Save people a lot of money sometimes. Bay xx

I would like to straighten my hair, but it just doesnt look smooth because its so naturally curly. Even if I put straightening products on my hair, it still has a kinky look to it. I think your best bet would be to let your hair be natural, Ive done nothing but fail with trying to straighten my hair, even though at times I would really like to wear a straight style, it just wont happen! lol Is your hair naturally curly or wavy? We usually read up on the product if we are making a major purchase or an online purchase. There are some really good review sites out there that can give you what you need to know. Our research usually takes a week or two because we do it extensively.

I usually read the reviews, and take my time in looking at all the web pages, and going to the forums, to see whether the product is any good or not. I do not want to get stuck with a lemon, and I have learned not to listen to the salesman either as some of them work on commissions and some of them might lie or give the impression that the product is more advanced than it is, as was the case when I purchased my latest computer.

Yes, I do tend to read magazine reviews and reviews on line before I make a purchase. I am particularly interested in other users' opinions and what their experience of a product has been. :-)

Yes, online reviews have saved me from many shopping mistakes. A good example is the iced tea machine. I read a review that the brand I was going to buy drips and stains the counter top, but that a different brand is buil so that doesn't happen. Since almost all the tea I make is Roibus which is quite dark in color, every time I make a pot and my counter stays clean, I am glad to have read that review. I spent less and got a better product because somebody just like me had the kindness to write a product review. Now I often write product reviews, too. It is good that we all help one another!

Yes I do read reviews before buying phones, digital cameras and beauty products. Even though everyone has different opinions, I would avoid those items with extremely bad reviews. I found that really useful and I waste less money on some of the items.
