I think people in their 80's and 90's are old. Here is something funny that was said to me the other day. My birthday was this past Sunday and I take care of kids in my home. Well, one of the little boys said how old are you now and I said I'm 26. He said oh my gosh that's old. LOL It's funny how they are so young that they think that's old.

Yes, when I was 20 I worked with a guy who was 16. When he heard my age he said "Man, you're old!"

Hello there. When I was a young kid and a teenager, I used to think people in the 20s are old. Now that I am in my 20s, I think that people in their 40s are old. I believe when I reach my 40s, I will again revise my thinking. LOL.
I think age is just a number. I know of people my age behaving like an old man/woman. I know of people in their 40s still enjoying life to its fullest and behaving like teenagers. I think it's the mentality. We can be 'old' in age but be 'young' at heart.

I think that 60 is old. I start thinking senior citizen at that point. I am 31. My father is almost 54 and still a very active hard working person but I am starting to see that age is starting to catch up to him. By the time he is 60 he will probably slow down a lot more.

I may consider myself old if my eldest child is already finished her schooling and already starting to have her own career. and by that time I am already 50. BUT i wish even I am laready old that time, I am still efficient, useful, healthy, and with sharp mind. I hate growing old and becoming a burden to my love ones.

One can lead an active life till 55 and those in government service are asked to retire at 58. But many people join some private companies because they have the enthusiasm and energy to work till 65. I consider one is really tired about 65 and it is difficult because one after the other there will be malfunctioning of the organs. That makes them sick. With exceptions there are people who are active till 80. I koow of an advocate who is 93 and still dictates the draft for a case, slightly slow, hearing impaired, but solid statements which the young lawyers cannot think of it. It is a old tamarind tree I suppose.

I use to think that 40 is old, but now that I am 40 , I have changed my thinking on this. I think that it all depends on the person and their health. My mother is 76 and still spunky. She works, shops, lives alone and is still very sharp. I have seen others that are her age and I think that they are old.
