hi kety, make a card from you hands for him, write a letter to him. frame a snap of your and him \ her in a photo frame, or in form of ceramic tile or on a cup or on a t shirt or on a pillow or on a plate etc...u can do all this as this would depict your love and your thoughfulness for him and these thoughts his money cant buy. and dont think much as whatevr you give him he is gonna use it no matter how evr rich he is.if u give it from your heart he would take it and would like and appreciate it as well.all the best buddy.

I think real frienship is not measured with money. So you can give any present you like and your friend will accept it with open mind.

Yes, that is true but I would like to give him something that will not look too out of place in his house. Real friendship is rare and I know he will appreciate whatever I will give him. Many thanks for replying and have a lovely day.

The picture idea is a really good one. Maybe a scrapbook or video or something that has memories attached to it. Make a peice of pottery or have a drawing done of that person from a photo. Get friends together with maybe a suprise guest like a friend they have not seen for a long time and have a themed dinner party for your friend. Maybe is possible to get a behind the scenes tour of a nearby company. I have done that a a birthday gift at a Mercedes dealership where they gave us a VIP tour for my friend that collects Mercedes cars. We got to see the owners private little museum and collection. What does your friend like?
