Ho, ho, ho. I mean ha,ha, ha! Is this going too far?

A local company recruiting Santa Clauses for the jolly season has told all hopefuls that they are no longer allowed to say 'ho,ho,ho', as it can be deemed degrading to women! Instead, they are supposed to say 'ha,ha,ha'!! Ha,ha,ha, Merry Christmas! Ok Santa, what's so funny, why do you keep laughing?! I don't know what you think, but Santa has always said ho,ho,ho and, so I'd thought, without offending anyone. What are your thoughts on this?

Yea, obviously the temptation to be stupid and go with a different saying became too great for someone high up! It's the minority(and I bet it's really small) who need to change, not Santa!

I'll say it was fun, I thought Mother Christmas was paying me a visit, but it was only you, lol! No, ok, I don't mean 'only' you!! Would I laugh at you, Feona? I mean really?! At least the company has now done a backflip and Santa is now still going to say ho,ho,ho!

Political correctness, or whatever they want to call it is absolutely rediculous, I don't know what is happening to this world, some people are creating things to make a name for themselves I think and the only thing they can find is these silly things, absolutely stupid...

Yes, but don't these people realise what sort of name they're making for themselves. I can think of several!

Yeh I know what you mean but some people just like to make a mark and maybe this is the only sort of mark they can think of, silly people.

That's bull!! If it were me, I'd let the recruiting company know that if Santa doesn't say ho, ho, ho then you won't be taking your kids to see him and you'll be telling all your friends to stay away too. Since when was ho, ho, ho aimed at women anyways? Before long he won't be able to say Merry Christmas anymore it'll have to be Happy Holidays!! By the way, they better pull those little cakes off the shelfs too...the ho-ho's...they might offend someone. "COUNT YOUR BLESSINGS" **AT PEACE WITHIN** ~~STAND STRONG IN YOUR BELIEFS~~

Yes, I agree, or maybe all the Santas should refuse to work for the company, maybe if they have no Santas, they'll quickly change their stupid, petty ideas! And I wonder what the seven dwarves are going to sing on the way to work? Hi ha, hi ha......?! Ummm, are we allowed to call them dwarves?! The whole lot is just too stupid!

It's also going to mess up the English vocabulary! Railroad habo's, halistic medicine, whale wheat bread and simple phrases will also be messed up. New hame for sale,"Hald on! Wait for me!", havercraft for sale and so on. Yeah, it seems silly now, what I have written. But think about it. If the nutcases that started this get away with it, what's to stop them from going even further? In their minds, they think they are doing us a service. Ha-hum.

This is just plain retarded! Everyone is so worried about being sued these days that even the simplest of words are now on the "don't say" list. As someone who is NOT easily offended, I would like to sue all these pansies for finally offending me by not having the spine to accept responsibility for their own reactions to commonly used words and phrases. If a woman is offended by Santa saying "ho", it has to be a personal problem - unless Santa is being played by Don Imus.

It is just going way too far, as with all the other things on the 'don't say' list. It is all just way out of hand, but hard to see where, or more to the point, how it's going to stop!

Yes it is going too far. But what can we do about it? NOT MUCH! i think it really doesnt matter.. bcuz christmas isnt about what "santa sais" .. they are going to ruin the MEANING of christmas sooner than we know and might expect =(

No, there is nothing we can do about it, just put up with some petty mindedness. And lets face it, Santa is mainly there for the kids, and how many of them will be offended by ho,ho,ho!

Yes it is, maybe if all the Santas refused to work for this company, they'd change their mind!
