Long, short, black, colored, garbage...Long, short, black, colored, garbage...

That is how my long overdue sorting of socks went today..I put them in piles, long, short, black, colored, and the ones that had a hole in went in the garbage...The majority of our socks are white...What is really funny is my son wears a size 16 shoe so he has to have big sized socks as well and one day I put one on and was like, Yikes!!! The heel went halfway up my calf...LOL...I am so glad that job is over...Now for the laundry... Do you stress over making sure all the socks are sorted?..Or don't you care?...I usually just throw them all in a clothes basket and when we want a pair we match them then...But it has been forever since I've weeded through them...

You mean after all your long, short, black, coloured, garbage, you had no odd socks? What, don't you have a sock monster in your place that only eats one sock? Lucky you. You should see all my odd pairs of socks, I've got two pair of each.....

Did I forget to mention that I did have odd socks? Sorry..I am hoping that the matching ones will appear after I do the laundry...They probably match the ones I had thrown away..I have a garbage bag full of socks now...I wish I was that lucky not to have any odd ones...

If you are waiting for the odd socks to show up, it probably won't happen too quickly unless you do throw them in the garbage! I think that is when the sock monster returns them. Wonder what he actually looks like....?

He probably looks like any other sock..that is why we don't see him because he looks like all the others that he is trying to steal..He probably had a very bad sockhood (childhood) and now wants vengence on all the socks out there....I am thinking that when he was just a little sock, someone threw out his mate and he missed him terribly..Now he wants anyone who wears socks to go through want he went through as a little sock....to be without a mate.......LOL

my boyfriend does the laundry and everytime he's done doing it, i fold the clothes and pair together the socks. this way, it's quicker for us to pick up socks whenever we needed them. i do have a shelf for my socks and my boyfriend has a shelf, too for his socks. it's really handy. we can do things quicker. and everything's organized. anne

they go nto the wash and get folded after they are dried thats my sox. the others are different they go into basket to be sorted out later . and If one gets a hole in it the pair gets thriown out right away. Last night we noticed Grand daughter had a hole in the toe of her Brand New sox that is very upsetting. to find holes in brand new sox.gr

This is one project I really don't like to do. It is so boring. I usually sort mine with his and mine. Then I match and fold them. If I let him do it they would all end up in his drawer too. He wears steel toed shoes for work and they wear holes in the toes really quickly so he will grab mine because they don't have holes, but when he comes home they do. LOL

My husband has been doing the laundry. Last week I was looking for socks and my sock drawer was empty. I questioned him as to where the socks had move to. He put them in his own sock drawer saying that they were his. The funny part is that he had two that didn't go together. Oh what the heck was all he said. Years ago, when my kids were little, I put all of the socks into a basket and brought them to the spare room. I forgot about them. The kids wore mismatched socks for the longest time. Punky Brewster was their favorite show. She wore mismatched socks. One day I went into the spare room to look for something and found the basket of socks. I matched each with their long lost mate and put them in the kids dresser drawers. The complained about having socks that matched! Too funny.

I sort all of them, since I also have to carefully organize them according to their colors. I am the one who washes my own socks, I put to waste those worn out ones!;) My feet are size 10 or 10 and a half, so I guess mine are just but of normal!;)

Air conditioned Socks - Make great dust rags and save a penny or two when dusting down the house...
For some reason, my socks seem to unravel fast and develop 'air conditioning'. When it gets too bad, I turn them into convenient rags. Saves lots of money, and they wash just like the regular socks.

I pay a friend to sort and fold my laundry... She just puts all the socks in the sock drawer. I dig out matching ones when I need them. I usually buy the same socks, so it's easy to pair them up with a matching one.

Socks....oh how I hate socks....they are like dirty dishes and rabbits left together too long they breed rapidly. This house has two female occupants both of which wear white half socks or peds as they are sometimes called. Well it was difficult to say the least knowing which were mine and which were hers, so I finally started buying pink toed ones for her...lol.

I try to match them right after they've been washed. There's always some mismatched once though, and some that went mysteriously missing. Those I put in a pile by themselves, so when the other one shows up I can sort them then.
