Hello guys c",) I just wanna ask this, is burping in public ok with you. I don't know but i think it's embarrasing to burp so loud in public. I wonder why there are people who like burping real loud and as if they are proud of that. I'm sorry but i find it irritating. There was this one guy in one of the weddings i attended, i was eating so much and he was sitting at the table next to me. After the meal he was burping so loud i think everyone in that room could hear it.. and not only once but 4 times.lol What do you think friends, i have nothing againsts burping because it's natural, But to some people who just overdo it... Peace!!!c",)

Sometimes we cannot help it, it's the body's way of getting rid of trapped air and we can't help our bodily functions, however how we get rid of our burps is up to us, we can mask them and not make an issue out of them or there are a few who will just burp noisily which is very antisocial. It is not ok in public, but there are worst things like spitting which is a BIG NO NO for me.

It doesn't matter to me how a person burps. As long as they say excuse me. I hate the spitting, that is a big no no for me too. It's just too nasty.

I think it's rude. I mean, sometimes you can't help it and it just comes out. that's all well and good but you have to say excuse me. That's the important part.

Yikes, i try not to burp in public or if i accidentally burped I have to say excuse me. Its sounds awful to hear someone do that and if its really loud.

I would think the guy feel embarrasing himself. If the person is someone I know, for sure I will ask him to excuse himself and leave the table. I feel that by leaving the seat, it is a form of courtesy. No, I am not against anyone who burps not of his own free will.... If he burps and still continue eating, yes. I mind :P

Accidentally or unintentionally, it's ok with me. If deliberately done, though, in my books, it's absolutely uncool. I could perhaps also tolerate it if it's done to entertain those who find burping in public entertaining. Happy myLotting, mycharm88! ;)

Burping is natural, I do not know why people are so offended by it. I live with a bunch of guys and all they ever to is let out the gases.

It's really kinda embarassing when you burp so loud in front of many people. And I think it's a table manner not to do it in front of many people.

I do find it not okay when someone burps soooo loud in public! lol. It's ok to burp 'cause it's just but natural for us humans to release those extra air from within especially when we are sooo stomach-full. But one can do it as discreet as possible. For example, one can cover his or her mouth while burping. I'm sure it's not so hard to do that. ;-)

I can't take also the loud burp. I don't know what is the reason behind. Some of my friends when they are burping they instantly says "Thanks Jesus" i don't what is the connection. I think when we burp we are not in control of what will happen, but a burp once can prevent you from knowing if you are burping again.

I had a friend just like to burp so loud even in public and you can't imagine that she is a girl too. But when she sneeze its very quite hehehe... She told me that she can't help it even though it's sound like a crying cow that's why since I told her that it is so embarrassed now she's always of it and try to get out or get excuse when she wants to burb.

It is very offensive to me when a person burps loud and does not even say excuse me. It makes me cringe. When six of my nieces and nephews were small, I taught them to say excuse me when they burped, by calling them a pig if they didn't. It worked. There was one time though. When my niece,(pictured on my avatar)her mom, and I were at a resturant. She couldn't have been more than six months old. She got finished drinking her bottle of milk, fussed a little, and then let out this loud burp. It went urrrt. Everyone in the place stopped what they were doing and looked at us. It was so embarrassing. I was 18 and my sister was 20. All we could do was laugh, it was terrible, LOL.

Well burping is a natural way of the body to release excess gas in the stomach, but I think one can control the noise they might produce. In some countries, burping is a taboo, it's better to fart in public than to burp. Scientifically, doctors discourage people to burp, it opens the valve in our stomach in order to release the air. If the said valve malfunctions, it may result to some gastro intestinal abnormalities. Doctors say that it is better to fart than to burp.

I find it rude... if it could not be prevented coz most likely its hard to prevent, just try to make it as silent as it could be... :)

Burping in public is disgusting, and people should refrain from doing it. Thats just my 2 cents
