Go to Google and do a search using the name you use in myLot. What comes up may surprise you. Did everyone know that our personal information is out there for everyone to see? It even shows our dollar amounts and all our friends. Do you think this is right? Is there no privacy?

If you're posting things on the internet right away you have to know that it's not private information. I can't think of a more public forum then blogging or putting discussions on the internet for anyone to read. What I do think is a good lesson is this reminder to be very cautious about what information we allow others to know ... post only that which you want the world to know, including stalkers, rapists and murderers!

Thank you so much for the informative response. I assumed any and all information posted on myLot stays with myLot. Had no idea it was there for all to read. Thanks again.

That is crazy! I just did it and a few of my posts from here showed up and my information for mylot as well. That is astounding! It is pretty creepy too. I guess with the world wide web we are all kind of out of luck with privacy eh?

For some reason I just assumed that anything written within the myLot site would stay here. Guess I was really wrong! Thanks for responding.

I got to page 3 of the search results before I found anything that was mine. It was my myLot profile.

I tryed it and found some post from 2004 from something I apparently responded to. Yah they say ANYTHING we put online can be read so if you write it you have to be ok with that fact:) I dont like it either. But if that bothers you try going to Zabasearch.com & putting in your name & state. I looked up so many people after an email tipped me off to that site:(

Hello carolbee. I think that we have to be more cautious about the Internet when we sign in some sites because of this. I think that it is terrible while it offers us some convenience to search for some information on the Internet as it lets out privacy online. Just be more careful, dear friend.

Wow, I found some cool stuff by doing that. There were posts from other sites that I had completely forgotten about. Some of them were fairly old, too. It was interesting to see what I said a year ago! LOL
