How do you provide a referral link without getting deleted?

I've been on My Lot for over six months now and I've posted on a variety of topics. When I first joined, I made the newbie mistake of responding to some posts that had affiliate or referral links in them. And, I think those posts were deleted. Since then, I've tried not to respond to discussions that have referral links in them. Of course, I'm always interested in making money. Who isn't? And, sometimes I have actually found sites that pay. But, I don't want to step on My Lot toes by posting links in the discussions. So, here's the big question. How do you tell others on My Lot about the business opportunities you've found or that have actually paid, without posting referral links or getting your discussions deleted? How does everyone handle this situation, so that our discussions aren't deleted? I've thought about referring others to my profile page to see any opportunities, but I haven't tried that yet. Any suggestions or clues on how to provide affiliate links without getting a discussion deleted?

Thats exactly what you do...send them to your profile page. Take it from someone who got her post deleted just last week! LOL. A lesson learned for life!

Sending people to your profile is the appropriate way to share these links, or through private message. A friend of mine started a discussion about her blog today, her blog is about sites that have paid her and she has proof of payment. All of those things are appropriate, and should not get you deleted, if you can frame them as a discussion. It is also really nice, because you are not imposing on people who may not be interested. I take it that you have some money making opportunities you would like people to take a look at.

If you want we can do a referral exchange. But only add me as a friend if you haven't join bux.to yet.

Hi beautyqueen. You are quite right about not posting referral links. You can insert a web page in the place provided in your profile and direct people there. Alternatively you can add people in your friends list and send them your links with a private message. It is not permitted the promotion of sites with or without links in the discussion. Have a look at some of the discussions in this section and you'll see how people suggest their link without going against the rules. Hope this helps.

mysdianait is right dear beautyqueen. because of new rules from myLot, we cant directly put our referal link to our topic discussion. i know, its more effective and efficient if we able to put our referal link in our discussion then in our profile but we cant disobey myLot rules if we still wanna to be their member, right?

I am still new here so I feel kind of weird to be saying this to someone who has been here far longer than me. What I do is I have a blog about making money online, I write reviews on all the income opportunities that I have ever used. All of my affiliate links are in there. I just send them to my profile and let them view my blog. Couldn't really say that it is working though. lol

Like the first poster said, create a blog and post the blog link in your profile. Or when someone asks for the link, tell them to send you a friend request and send them a PM after they have accepted your friend request. If you post them here, like you said, they'll be deleted.

I send people to my profile to see my free money making website. It works well for me. Another thing that I've seen people do, though, is ask for people to add them to their friend's list so they can send it in a PM. I've never seen a post deleted by someone doing either of those. I hope this helps!

The best way to provide a referral link is to have a web page that lists your programs and put the link to that on your profile page. If you have a blog, you can have it as something you are interested in, and then when you join, lets say, Marketpond for example, you will put your link to Marketpond on your blog which may be about, lets say, that Penguin movie. Then you will tell anyone who asks about what programs they need to make money, to go to your Profile page.

I usually explain my point on the discussion and then wait to receive a PM to send the links. I believe if your discussion is under "make extra money" subject, you shouldn't get deleted for sharing your experience. And then, if anybody interested, they should send you a PM and that's it. At least that's how I manage this subject. I hope I was any help.

I have a link to my Helium writing on my profile page. If you put a link on your profile page and have a topic in which you say, for example, "anyone who wants to check out my articles" or my link, whatever, please refer to my profile. They have a spot for your link on your profile. Just make sure you say something besides that. Many times people only write a link and that was part of what caused the problem. Like I have some topic about Helium or about articles and a little paragraph, not just asking people to go to my profile. Something you write should be able to stand alone, even without the reference to the link. Take care.

I just stopped doing it after getting all but fussed out by another member. I will send any member info through PM if they wish but no more links for me after being talked to so harsely. I had been out of the net for sometime and didn't realize the new rule was in place; after I received that reply, the entire discussion was deleted. I was sad that that happened so I will stay away from link from hence forward.

You put them on your profile or in your blog and direct people there. Please check out my blog and you will see. Plus there are great sites on there where you can make some extra money.
