Is It Safe To Believe

That everyone in the world is doing the best that they can with what they know? I have read this in books a few times and I am starting to believe that it is true. We all want to do the best that we can in every situation and we can only use what we know to bring it about. Everyone has the same basic needs. To be loved and accepted for who we are. We are all like little children running around through life, trying to find our way. It is only after we make a mistake, that we learn the right way to do it. I think this is to give us a point of reference. I don't know how many times I have made a mistake and then learned the right way and wished I had it to do all over again. I believe that God has a plan for every situation and if we trust and obey him we will not get so anxious and panicky when his plan is being revealed in our lives. We can just go with the flow.

If you are learning from your mistakes, then you are doing better than a lot of folks. But at this late date in evolution we should not still be running around like little children. WE know better. We have the technology to fix most of our problems but we are not doing it. We have accumulated enough knowledge that we do not need to be making impotant mistakes but we have not disseminated that knowledge. Being loved and accepted is a basic human need. Infants and small children can actually die from a lack of this. G'd put us here but He expects us to find our own way back to Him. We are supposed to use all of the tools that He has provided us. Such as our own brains which we use only a tiny portion of. The worlds rescorces, which we waste instead of using properly. Technology, which we have but do not share because we want to sell to the highest bidder. We have a long way to go before we can turn to G'd and say we have done our best, can we come home now?

I hear what your saying but I dont' think that is fully accurate. God knows we cannot find our way back to him so He sent Jesus to show us the way. The way is purely to except the gift of salvation through Jesus Christ our Lord. Thank goodness for that because there is no way on God's green earth that I am smart enough to figure out my way back to Him! Jesus is the bridge to God! Whew!

You do realize that the majority of the world is not christian. And about half of the world is monotheistic(meaning they believe in only one G'd). Are you saying that all of them are disenfranchised because they do not embrace Jesus?

Adoniah, Christians also believe in one God. But, we believe in the trinity, The Father, The Son, and The Holy Spirit, they are one. We believe that Jesus is the side of God that understands us because he took off all of the glories of heaven and came down to earth to experience life the way that we do. This is why when we pray, we pray in Jesus name. Jesus is the side of God that understands us.

I agree with you about the plan of our lives. But i hesitate to believe that everone is doing their best. If people do at least the bare minimal of their best, this world would be different. I mean, there are a lot of people with exceptional talents, do you think they use those? I dont think so. Everyone need motivation to do even a small thing. We very rarely find self-motivators, who do their best. I am sorry, I also like to think like you. But i am working in a factory with 100 workers, and i have enough and more situations, not to agree. But, i pray to God, everyday, to grant everybody the strength to do at least the minimum, so that we can go somewhere.

You got me wrong. I am sorry i was not expressing myself properly. I was saying that there are people, who know they can do better, but do not do it cos they think, they will be burdened with more work. There are people who think, i will do only my part, rest, someone else would do. Also, why should i do it, its not my job. And, if i do it today, they'll expect me to do it everyday. And, no one told me specifically to do it, so why should i jump and face unnecessary problems. I can go on and on.

But again, they are still doing the best they can with what they know. Past experiences have caused them to adopt this negative attitude toward doing extra work and that is all they know.

This is why I said that they are doing the best they can with what they know. When you know better, you do better. It is not fair to look at a person and assume that they can do better and that they know how.

This is not a matter of safe or dangerous but rather a question of what you are to believe in is logical or illogical. If it seems illogical you will find it hard to believe simply because of the lack of logic the item carries with it to explain its significance or place in the here and now. Most people don't take the time to seek what their potential is let alone desire a way to reach it; therefore it is nearly impossible to determine if everyone in the world is doing the best they can with what they have. At best we can hope those that have found their potential use it to the greatest 'greater good' and for the people in truth (not just declaration) . . . I was asking this question because I read it in a book and it has been very difficult for me to get make mind around this and totally believe it. I know some people personally who are mean because they choose to be, not because they don't know any better. This is why I asked, I wanted to know if other people felt this way. It is not the first time I have heard that saying.

Hi Rozie37! I do believe that! I do agree that all of us tries to do the best that he can, maybe it wouldn't be perceived as great but in our own little ways, it is the best that we can do. I don't think anyone would want to have a poor life, everyone wants a comfortable and good life. And in our own journey, we try to best decide what we think is the right path for us. Just my thoughts. take care and have a nice day. :)

You change your avatar so often, I'm having trouble keeping up with you! lol. I try to learn from my own mistakes and those of people around me too. My life experiences are helping to shape who I am, and I use the negative ones to grow more because I have more to learn from them.

I know that I change it too often. I am just so proud of my growing nieces and nephews. I will change it back to the original picture that I had when I first started Mylot and leave it like that for a while, Okay? They use to say that experience is the best teacher. I say that it is better to learn from others experiences.

Are you saying that your mom called you hard headed. Now that I am older, I understand that term better. People always call kids hard headed and adults are call stubborn. Some things we all have to go through ourselves to learn. We can't always fully understand when someone else tells us about it.

You keep changing it! It will keep me on my toes! lol. I do try to learn from others as well, but my mum has always said that I'm the kind of person who has to go through it themselves! lol. Um, no I'm not! Ok, so I was when I was younger.

I believe that inherently we are basically good and that through unforseen temptations we digress into what the world anticipates us being. However, with the Love and Understanding of God we can be saved and we can live good and honest lives in the name of Jesus.

I think we each have ways to go in our lives and that God is always there to help us. We become bogged down and stray from our paths and end up in misery. I think we get messages from inside nudging us to go this way or that. We know what is true for us and yet we let outside forces lead us to pain and sorrow. We may not know all we need to know right now, but we can learn, as you have said. I call it knowing our true selves and listening to what it is trying to tell us. That is God's way of leading us to joy and peace. We have everything we need to live tremendously fulfilling lives.

You are right. But, if we lean completely on God and trust him we down suffer as much. There are times when God is moving and because we don't trust him enough, we become all bent out of shape and distressed and all he is doing his teaching us and making things better for us. We as his children just need to make up our minds that when trouble comes, we are going to trust him no matter what.

Hi Rozie, We are not all at the same place in our journey, so it's quite possible that what you say is true. I agree that everyone has the same basic needs, and it is to be loved and accepted for who we are. There is a plan and a purpose for each of us, and maybe we would be happier if we realized this. Fear is our great enemy, and if we understood that there is nothing to fear, that there is a master plan, and we are all an important part of it, we would have a much better world. Blessings.
