yesterday, i was reading an e-book and was writing an article at the same time. my 3-yr old nephew went up to me and snatched my pen and would have started writing on my paper if i didn't stop him right away. ^__^;; so i gave him an extra paper and he started writing lines and lines and lines until he thought of making me draw for him! i was happy to draw for him but sometimes he's just asking for the impossible! i mean, impossible for me because i'm not really good at drawing. LOL he made me drew a horse with reins held by man riding it. .

I think that he is giving the SPONTANEOUS EXAMS, JUST AS YOU HAD IN YOUR OFFICE SOME TIME BACK....He must be testing your IQ level.. ( I think u have said about this, pardon me if u have not initated a topic like this, 'coz i go with my memory)

hi saiven! ^__^ you have a very good memory! that was my discussion you're talking about. ^__^ and they haven't released the results. anyway, I'm so glad you think my nephew is cute. he really is and I just adore him so much! everybody in the house adores him and spoils him actually. LOL sometimes I think it wouldn't be good to give what he wants but we can't just say no! ^__^;; although sometimes I can really give him a spanking. LOL but after I will buy him a gift. LOL

LOL :-) your nephew is so cute.. i remember my little sister once when she asked me to draw a cow in a farm. I was so busy with checking exam papers so i just drew a farm and a rope. She then asked me where's the cow? i said it got loose :-) LOL she knocked me on the head and we both laugh... but it didn't stop her to force me draw a cow for her :-)

At least he’s your nephew and not your own child. I mean you don’t have to look after him all the time and give in to his demands. Think of what you’ll do when you have your own kids! My son drives me up the wall most of the times and even though he is 8 yrs old, he behaves like a perfect baby and wants all my attention all the time. I know that being an only child he feels lonely at times, but he is such an inborn introvert and he loves to jabber with people all the time. and what not he makes me do! We are walking on the road, suddenly he starts hopping and wants me to do the same…’walk like me’ he’ll demand! Or if he wants to eat something which is exclusively for children, he wants me to share it with him. Children sometimes are so exasperating! And they do sap all your energy.

LOL it seems you've got your hands full with only just one kid sudipta. ^__^;; I think if I have my own kids, I will be a spoiling mother. ^__^;; I spoil my nephew most of the times, what more if he was my own?? LOL but I always think of the ill-effects of spoiling a kid so I think he will not grow a spoiled brat. ^__^;;

No wonder he is ur nephew, because both of u are just so alike :)

we are really alike, we throw tantrums when we don't get what we want. LOL he hasn't seen a ghost, I think. maybe he thinks that it would be so scary because we use to scare him with it and he'd fall for it. ^__^;; and when I drew a ghost for him, maybe he thought it wasn't scary just as what he imagined. LOL his auntie just disappointed him with that. LOL

hey secret bear. children have really wonderful imagination. my two boys are like that. once, they made me draw a motorcycle with 3 exhausts!!! LOL. and yes we can really learn from them. they are so pure and innocent that without knowing about it, they spread good everywhere.

LOL. Aren't kids great? My girls do the same to me and I just don't seem to meet their standards. The worst is play dough! I try and make what they want, but it just ends up being a glorified blob!

Oh goodness my myLotian friend. Children have minds like sponges. Always absorbing new and wonderful knowledge. They march to the beat of a different drummer and live in such a fantasy world. The best part is when they share their world of strange fish and ghosts with us. I believe we learn a little something about ourselves when we interact with the young. Besides, drawing silly pictures is fun. lol ‹(°¿°)›

hi jumpinjack! good to see you here. ^__^ well, drawing silly things is really fun. for me at least because I can laugh about it. but my nephew wouldn't be satisfied if I can't draw the real thing which he usually see. ^__^;; I don't like him looking confused and dissatisfied. LOL although it can make me laugh, I can't bear it if he thinks that I'm useless. LOL I should have saved his drawings and put it here. I should have saved it rather than put it in the trash. ^__^;;

I remember when I was a child my youngest brother would ask me to draw him pictures of super heroes like the super friends, he-man and anime robots like voltes v. He would return the favor by scratching my back, giving me a massage, doing errand for me and cleaning my room. Then he made me draw him a huge colored poster of his favorite robot in an illustration board. Can you guess what I get in return? He promised that he would be my "slave" forever! How silly are these whims that children have!

I think he is going to be an artist! I would give him lots of paper to draw on and as many colored pencils as I could find, but you might need a box with a lock on it to store them, because if I remember correctly, sometimes 3-year olds write on the walls, refrigerator, and many other places besides paper if they think you are not watching closely enough. It is good that you encourage his creativity. I think a fish with a tongue like a snake would be very cute. Maybe I will draw one of my own!

well, its too late for that. he already messed up with my small table made up of a yellowish wood. ^__^;; and its so messed up that I had to cover it with a wallpaper. LOL he really is so eager to write and draw the moment he discovered the wonders of pen. ^__^;; and we always give him a paper so he won't messed up our floor and walls and other furnitures. LOL

My brother has an artistic friend and his son (my nephew) knows this and always asks my brothers friend to draw stuff for him. I'm not very artistic and I used to work in a daycare so I'd always get the kids to draw stuff themselves cause I can draw stars and mountains and birds that look like M's and not much else!

Hi Bear!! Your nephew is ADORABLE!!! If I had a nephew that was that cute and sweet I think I would draw just about anything for him I could! Hehe Ok he wouldn't have to look that adorable and I would still do it just because he was my nephew. But I can see how there is no way in the world you could say no to that face!! Thanks for sharing his photo and your funny story! Bay Lay Gray xx
