I have finally healed up enough that I no longer have to have the nurse come in and pack and bandage the as they call them wounds. No more tape yeah no more bandages wahooo. now some freedom to breath. Now I am not saying I have no more pai which I do. But have been told I will have the pain for a year it goes with the operation and they only had one took off where I had both so I might be in for a longer bout with the pain . also now I will have to go to an out pateint clinic for my therapy for my arms but am doing pretty good there getting movements back in them . I also got to drive myself today to the store. another accomplishment for me and more freedom.as daughter was always doing the driving or having to go pic up my meds. but now I can do it myself. and I want to thank all my friends here for their prayers and candles and energies that they have been sening my way for I know all of them have had a hand in my healling too. hugs and blessing to all of you !

What good news. I know what is it like to rely on others while recuperating and how great you feel when you can start doing things for yourself again. Take care and don't overdo it. xxOOxx

That IS really great news! You are definitely doing good and keep up your positive outlook. It helps more than you know. I am happy for you that you are healed up your wounds. It's great to feel the freedom of doing things yourself. It somewhat inspires me that you are doing so well. My sister is still undergoing chemo treatments, but she is doing better now. My prayers remain.

I really do hope you will not have to go through chemo anymore. My sis had had a lot of bouts with chemo but the doctor insisted, I have heard so many things about chemo lately. Well, I just want and hope that you heal fast and good, laugh a lot because it gives you a lot of healing and provide yourself good nutritious food.

I'm happy for you, Lakota. Finally free from those constricting bandages and as what you've said, a new sense of freedom. I'm sure you can withstand whatever lingering effects your operation has instore for you. I haven't met you personally, but judging from the way you have come out of your experience, you're a very strong woman. hugs and blessings to you, too. :)

hugs and lessings Joan this is great news. Have you been saving it up to tell us in one go? LOL. Slowly, little by little, you are recovering and I so wish I could take away the pain. I'll bet it felt funny to be driving. How great to have some independence back...that would be very hard for me. Keep getting stronger and better my friend. Thinking of you.

I meant to respond to this sooner, but I've gotten so behind with MyLotting there for awhile. First, of all wanted to congratulate you that you are healed enough now that you don't need the nurse come all the time or especially that you don't need bandages anymore, that must be a real relief to you, and yes, gives you more freedom. It must have made you feel good that you could drive by yourself, another plus right? I will still send healing energies to you! (((hugs))))

Hi Lakota.. Have a little time to spend here and you were the first friend I cam to visit. So good to hear the good news about the bandages and packs being a thing of the past! Yahoo...good for you!!!! Hearing that you are reclaiming your independence back is a wonderful thing. You are by nature a feisty gal who takes care of things and lives life on her own terms. Knowing that you are less dependent and starting to reclaim aspects of your life you had lost for awhile is great Christmas news for your two pals up North! You remain in our thoughts and prayers...and I will keep lighting a candles as a show of support and a celebration of who you and what you've overcome. Many bright, light filled blessings coming your way with much love and light.. Raia
