I have been to Mumbai twice or thrice. It is a fast paced city. But I myself stay at New Delhi, which is also a huge Metropolitan city, so I might not have enjoyed there, as much, as a person staying in some other city would have enjoyed. I surely liked the beaches of Mumbai and Pav Bhaji. Have you been to Delhi?

When Bangalore had not started international flights, all my foreign trips, I had to halt at Mumbai. I used to go there 2 days in advance to get immigration clearance etc. I liked Chruch gate area, Victoria Terminus Area, Dadar Market and I used to stay in a lovely place where my aunt is having a bunglow type house in Andheri. A few yards I walk, I could get train to any place. What about lovely south Indian resturants (mostly all restaurants are owned by people from my native place - Mangalore) and they could talk in our language and that was an added advantage. Of course Juhu Beach and Gate way of India are lovely and there are thousands of such things in each and very locality of Bomaby.

hey great, you have been to quite alot of places in mumbai in a very short while.Havent you thought of coming here now just for a holiday but that would sound crazy. Actually as i am a part of this city right from ym birth so i feel that the travelling out here is easy as in during the peak hours is stuff but apart from that the infrastructure is very well developed but still as the infrastructure is developing at the same time the population also develos at the same time. There are more of immigrants from other cities. yeh one would only find the south indian restos and the junk food but its all just awesome and rocking.

Hi sang! Munbai is very cool and happening. I have found it tobe very safe and trendy and ppl are always active. I especially liked the night life, which no other city in India has. The attitude of the people are very hip and cordial. I have made some very good friends there who make me feel that Mumbai has a big heart and a bigger soul. smiles..

I visited mumbai thirty years ago and was fascinated by the matchboxhouses . At that point of time I was in a small place .The crowds, the skyscrapers, bulging trains, were all absolutely new to me then. I had a kulfi icecream then and thought that I was treated to the most lavish delicacy ever invented by man.I gaped open mouthed at Gateway of india and Flora fountain, got thoroughly disillusioned with Juhu beach[my mind always had Marina as the benchmark]and the organized queue at busstops was something that I had never seen.I used to keep my sari well folded and tucked ,before I got ready to dive into a train, and everything about the place was a novelty. Now, for the past one and a half years this is my place because I have relocated here.Whatdo I like here /--Bhelpuri, and the good quality of pulses and dhals that are available. The integrity of vendors leaves much to be desired and one has to be on one's toes and be alert all the time. This is just another place where life is relatively more difficult than what we would ever get in a small place.
