So apparently there is one hell of a major storm building and from what I'm reading and hearing etc its suppose to be a doozy starting tonight in the midwest I think and working its way out my way (WNY) apparently hitting us by Sat night..depending on who you ask LOL..We have a storm warning from Sat night right through til Monday morning and they're saying it could be upwards of 2' of snow plus major winds which of course means whiteouts and high drifts etc.... Are those of you in this systems path ready for it? Has it already started to hit your area? If it hasnt hit you yet but the weather reports are saying its on its way do you generally believe it or are you a "wait and see what happens" kind of person.. Living where we do we're more or less a wait and see home simply because 1/2 the time the big ones that are SUPPOSE TO hit us just miss or we'll only catch the tail end of it etc..the other 1/2 the time though, we get nailed..

I am just getting to this..as my employment right now is my number one priority...but we had the same warnings: "Storms, Big Storms Coming" ..Well, I waited..and watched..Peeked out the window..looked down the street..never saw the storm come that was predicted;) Perhaps they forgot our address or where our city is.

We are also supposed to get a wicked amount of snow. But it MIGHT just pass us by. It has started to snow already tonight, its sat evening, But its only a light dusting so far. IT IS really really cold out though!! and it has been all day. and pretty windy too. We had to walk to the grocery store and my daughter SOMEHOW fell asleep in the stroller!! i guess she was nice and warm in her snowsuit if she was able to fall asleep!

The storm is in Missouri. We've had snow off and on all last night and today but not a whole big bunch of accumulation, yet. Predictions for tonight are another 6 inches. Must be terribly difficult to predict in our area since the forecast is not usually right on target. They say 6 inches and we could get anywhere from 2 to 10. I'm a wait and see person since our winters have been relatively easy the past few years. We have food and water and the street department has been out there all day scraping our street. We are back in a subdivision, about 3 blocks off a main street and we are usually one of the last streets to be cleaned. Mo. Dept. of Transportation must know more than I do....lol

We are waiting for this storm as well. We made a trip to a local grocery store and turned around without parking it was so packed lol. I think we will try and head out later before it hits. What i heard was EITHER up to 2 feet of snow OR rain/ice/sleet and all that good stuff. Where we are, we either get it the worst, or it passes us right by. ( let's hope it passes us this time i have plans tonight! haha)

It hasn't hit yet, but it's supposed to around sundown. I'm in central PA. We are not a wait and see home, I was a NOAA skywarn weather spotter for 6 years in Texas, and I have several websites I watch for weather. If there is one thing I've learned, you really can't predict how hard it will it. But, I've also learned, I'd rather be prepared, get groceries if needed, run errands, and stuff in case it does hit. Then if it doesn't, so be it. But, if ya wait and see, and it hits with full force, then you're one of them having to go to the store in a storm, no thanks.

If the other days snow storm was not bad enough, now we have this new storm coming in tonight. I'm not ready for another storm. However the shovel and rock salt are by the door. I will also make sure to have extra gas in the car. Looks like we are going to have a long hard winter ahead of us.

I'm in line for the same storm. It's supposed to hit us tomorrow around 1. I generally like believing that bad weather will strike us. My partner however takes the wait and see approach to winter weather and I'm not sure why. I just like having big storms that end up locking us inside forever. We are in for snow, ice and wind apparently. I'm pretty sure we'll get snow, but I'm not sure about ice.
