It does not bother me for Santa Claus to say ho ho ho.I don't care if he says it or if he does not say it.I don't think its a big deal. I heard that some people are offended by Santa saying ho ho ho because it's like calling a woman a ho. I never thought of it that way. I guess it depends on the person. http://www.digg.com/world_news/Santa_Claus_banned_from_saying_Ho_Ho_Ho_what_s_wrong_with_the_world

As far as I'm concerned, to think that Santa is calling you a "Hoe" when he greets someone "Ho Ho Ho" means that you consider yourself to be a Hoe, because everyone else in the world seems to be sane enough to understand that it's just an old traditional Christmas greeting. I think it's absolutely ridiculous. If you're offended by it, then you need to fix your self image.

I never said that I was offended by it. I said that there are other people who are offended by it, not me. It does not offend me at all.

Sorry, that was supposed to be a "you" as in people in general, I know that you yourself aren't actually offended by it, I didn't mean to imply that or sound rude at all. Sorry for my poor choice of wording *bites tongue* =D

I think people are overreacting. It's a laugh. He's not calling anyone anything. You might as well say the garden tool, hoe, should have a different name. Most people understand the difference between the two.

Well personally, I believe that santa should be banned. This is supposed to be a celebration of Jesus Christ being born into the world to save us and I don't think that Mr. Claus fits into the Christmas story at all.

This week I tried to find christian christmas crafts to do with my Sunday school class and it was hard to find but it was easy to find the other kind of christmas items. Yes it is a celebration of Jesus Christ and I make sure that my children knows the true meaning of Christmas and that it's not all about toys.

You've got to be freaking kidding me! People just need to chill out. It's not like he's going up to women calling them hoes. It's just his greeting to kids. I would have never thought Santa was calling me a ho. These women must have some serious self esteem issues.

No this is for real. That's what I was thinking. I just think it's a greeting.

I think that the people who are having a problem with Santa saying, "HO HO HO" have entirely too much free time. Putting the 2 things together has never occurred to me and never would have without these women who are protesting the phrase.

I wonder why would Santa be blamed for this. It's a nice tradition. It adds a little bit of spice saying: ho, ho, ho. Santa should be different from a regular guest, he has to bring something new to the Christmas spirit.

this just takes the biscuit. in todays society people are trying to ban everything. before much longer we wont be able to leave our homes. how can they consider banning this. i mean santa has always said it. so why chance that tradition now? it doesnt make any sense. this is one of the thangs that drives me mad

Well santa excistinse is longer than woman who are called a ho. Well then they shouldn't have been working in that business. It's not offensive there are so many words which used to be normal but are now being used as swearing words. People are getting crazier and crazier these days. It's like they try everything to get attention.

That's odd. Why would people be offended with a ho.ho.ho? Their being too childish. Its been there for years, you can't simply change it due to some people's childish whims. That's Santa's trademark so it should not be taken away from him. Does it also bother them when rappers say "yo"? LOL...

I doubt very much that a child is going to know that unless someone tells them that. I think it is ridiculous and to let it go..

No he shouldn't be banned from saying it. I really don't see the problem. Santa has been saying the same thing for hundreds of years and nobody had a problem with it so why now the sudden problem. Ho is so different to ho ho ho and it's not like santa is saying it in a derogerty way.

I must say that it would seem that Santa has been saying ho ho ho long before ho was what it is today. It reminds me of the country song "Way back then". There are lines like, "When a screw was a screw, and the wind was the only thing that blew". We can't get offended because we added extra meaning to the word "ho"!
