What is the Strangest Thing You (or someone you know) Ever Asked Santa For?

When I was young, me and my brothers and sister wrote our letters to Santa Claus. Our parents had us do it, basically to get us to write a Christmas list without them actually asking us to write one. I've also played "Santa" at Christmas parties and had to stifle laughs when the kids told "Santa" what they wanted under the tree Christmas morning. The funniest thing I ever asked for was, one of Santa's Elves. I guess I thought it would be fun to have an Elf friend to have fun with. ;~D

Well here it's not Santa but the Three Wise Men, but anyway, some strange things that people ask for are things like " get rid of my wife" or " i want to have a new set of boobies"....believe it or not, i've heard adults saying so sooooooo anything is possible lol.

Ooh, a cookie strike against Santa might help in the short run, but think about the long run here!! ;~D

the most unusual thing and something of course i wont get from santa is new knees. i am waiting for double knee replacement surgery...and am in a lot of pain every day... i think the touching letters are ones from kids that want a sibling or a parent to get well (which is what my daughter asked for)

You are right, those are the most touching requests... and they show that the kid asking has learned what Christmas is truly all about. I'll be praying for you and your knees too... you are truly blessed with a wonderful daughter.

haha that is indeed funny. perhaps you thought i'd be cool to have your very own elf to make you gifts all year round too! i don't recall the things I've asked santa for really. i know my parents did a great job of the santa presents. they gave me a letter holder once with pockets feature carebears. i saw that it was made in america and thus really believed santa sent it!!

The funny thing is, I never even thought of the elf making toys for me. I think I thought an elf would make a really cool pet. ;~D "Made in America" by elves in the North Poll? ;~D

My son asked Santa for Rudolf one year. I think he was about 6 the year he asked for him. I told him that Santa couln't let him have Rudolf or he wouldn't be able to deliver the other kids presnets as there would be no one to guide the sleigh,

I think that was pretty close to the explanation my folks gave me when I wondered why I didn't get an elf. ;~D

For years, I always asked for the typical "horse" as my number one choice, even though I knew I would not get one. I think the funniest habit that my younger sister had was going through the Toys 'R Us catalog and cutting and pasting all the things they wanted. It ended up being most of the catalog, so I always said they should just use it as their Christmas list. Not sure if that was funny, but I thought so at the time.

That is funny! Since we couldn't afford Toys R Us, we joked with our kids that it as a museum of toys. I say "joked" because they never believed it and we never expected them to. ;~D

Well a good number of these are "weird" things people asked for http://www.mylot.com/w/discussions/1323538.aspx But then again, its a ridiculous christmas list discussion. I think you would have won with the elf friend idea. I mean take that discussion and my entries on it. I asked for a heavy technology spacelab and a mobile suit gundam (a very large pilotable robot). I don't think it gets any stranger than that.

The Pillsbury doughboy! I really really wanted him when I was 3! I thought he was cute---I think I may have been in love with him, if that's possible for a 3year old.....Well, thought I was anyway, if ya know what I mean. Haha....hehehe
