I am using Vista and yes, it looks good, but it also has a lot of problems... It has a lot of compatibility issues with most current software and yes, the OS is a resource hog. If your PC is not very new, Vista will force you to upgrade your PC in order to run smoothly... And even if the first Service Pack is going to be released in a couple of months time, time will tell if that will help the OS...

I've ran Vista from launch and I haven't had any issues with it. Like any other OS that's came out, its going to demand more, just like XP did and all other Windows OS's. I'm a little confused by the compatibility with current software statement. But I'll leave that for another time. I think Vista is a nice OS, its got a lot of possibilities.

confused about compatibility? Vista won't run a lot of current software very well....Examples are Avast! (it installed and crashed on mine), Adobe software (it froze upon opening) and even Apple iTunes do not run on Vista... Not to mention, Vista only supports up to 3.5GB of memory.....Even if your platform supports 4GB memory, depending on your video card, it will require addressing from the main memory. In short, you will only get less than 4GB on Vista unless you use 64-bit Vista

Yes Visha is good and need latest computer configuration but so other type of problems I have to face with it. One of them It's Microsoft office version. The file you made in this version is unable to access in older version like 2003 or older than that.

The look of Vista is good,if you have a powerful system.I installed Vista in my system and not satisfied with the performance. If you have one GB of ram then only we can get the expected performance. Now i a still using XP.

Windows Vista is Great!!! I am using right now Windows XP Professional Service Pack 2. Sometimes I used Windows Vista, but I am like a new beginner when I used it thats why I go back to Windows XP. I will tell you the truth, Windows Vista is a good Operating System, because they have a good configuration and a lot of features rather than Windows XP. I used Windows XP because it is a friendly user.

I've heard that Vista is basically only good for presentations and the big problem is it's compatability with just about any software. I think it's too soon for the bugs to be worked out of it yet.

its semi pretty to look at.. but it lags horribly sometimes ( i have over a gig of ram.. there should be NO LAG) it shuts down randomly.. its harder to navigate and understand.. searching for files yer looking for fails OFTEN.. i simply hate it, hate it hate it.. and will be dropping my new laptop at the shop to have XP installed and vista removed.. regardless of whether XP is going off the market or not.. i ran 98 for 4 years after they discontinued that too LOL
