Ok just venting here but I found a new site that I liked and posted it to mylot so that my fellow mylotters would know about it. I posted it not for money even though the site pays. I posted it because I wanted to make sure that mylotters know about it. I then was basically harassed by some guy in Singapore telling me that everyone knows about the site and that I should go there and stay away from mylot if i like the other site so much. Hey mylot how about some respect for each other. Is that so much to ask?

I love mylot because I think it's a lot of fun. You can talk about just about anything you want, meet new and interesting people, make new friends and while doing all of that, you get to earn a little cash too! It's great, but one thing that I have noticed that I do not like, is that there are people on this site who are un-neccessarily rude, ignorant or both! When I come across those, people, they urk me a bit! Now, I have to admit, when I post a discussion that has nothing to do with making money or looking for new opportunities, and I get a response from someone that doesn't seem to have anything to do with my topic, and all they seem to be doing is promoting some other site and then leave me their referral link or something like that, it bugs me! I think that is rude. I also don't like when someone sends me a friend request, I accept it, and the first thing they do is leave a comment on my page or send me a PM, asking me to be their referral on some site and on top of that, never even bother to respond to ANY of my discussions, that I also find to be rude. However, I do not see any problem with anyone posting a discussion to tell people about another site that they found and think is good. I think that they are just trying to share something that they think is good with other people and that is a nice thing to do. I don't think that there is any site that EVERYONE has heard of, no matter how popular the site may be! If someone responded to your discussion like that, it just another example of a rude and ignorant person! Try to ignore people like that as much as possible, but when you feel the need to vent, by all means, vent!.....hope you could understand all of that rambling, lol

bcote212, there are so many people out there who simply look for things to pounce on. It must be miserable being so miserable. You, on the other hand, are a bright ray of sunshine and I say keep on shining, honey! I happen to have a very sunny attitude and find that some people resent my happiness. What can I do? Keep on shinin'.

Must have had a bad day! - grumpy face
It sounds like someone was having a bad day! lol...I've run into quite a few people like that who seem to need to vent on us. Who knows maybe they use mylot members as punching bags instead of their wives!!! It's fine to vent here I do it all the time as a lot of people do. I believe that what goes around comes around and someone will dump on him one of these days too. Just forget about him.

Go ahead and vent. It's good for you. And maybe for the rest of us too. Just know that not all of mylot is a bunch pf grumpies. :) I looked over some of the discusions you started. I suppose you are referring to Yuwie. And I found out about Yuwie here shortly after joining mylot. SSOOO not everyone knows about all these different sites. Chalk it up to some have more bad days than others. And if you find another good site and want to tell others about do it. like this one for people looking for Work at home employment www.genuinejobs.com There now we are equally guilty!! GIGGLE. HAppy posting

it's not your fault.many people here aren't just in here for the money.besides, mylot encourages discussion so posting something that you thought was nice is perfectly fine.the other guy was just not mature enough to understand this.

Hey bcote212, I am quite interested in delivering more of my communicative awareness through literary prowess to another site besides myLot (although here has been a blessing for me . . .), might you forward me the link ? sharing the light and happy holidays, Miss Erica Hidvegi, the Enlightenment_Advisor, B.A. Psych/M.A. Transpersonal Studies- Cnslng/Author, Artist, Photographer, Entrepreneur & Freelance extraordinaire

I guess you happened to attract the attention of a Yuwie hater and he decided to vent about it. I think possibly part of the problem is that when Yuwie first started up people literally flooded Mylot with requests that you sign up to this amazing new site and people were being bombarded with multiple requests to sign up under them to increase their referals. I believe I recall a discussion from someone requesting no more Yuwie referal emails. So maybe this guy had been harrassed to join Yuwie too or was just fed up of seeing people promoting Yuwie. On the other hand, there is absolutely no need to be disrespectful and he could have politely pointed out to you that Yuwie has had a lot of coverage on Mylot already. Unfortunately some people would rather spread bad vibes around than respond to discussions with respect or otherwise ignore them. In any community you will encounter such disagreeable people but at least it is easy to turn off the computer and lock him inside lol. Hopefully you will encounter more positive responses to your future discussions. :)

There is always one in every site....ignore him. Any advice for this site? I am new and will take whatever you have to offer.
