Check your configurations in the Tools Options maybe it is the settings that is creating a message box like what you encountered... Firefox is ok and quite fast...compare to other web browsers.

I have to conquer with GoldMind here. Since switching to FF, I have had very few intrusions of malware and a much cleaner response from the internet on the whole. In addition to checking your settings, make sure your proxy settings allow for the use of another web browser. If you didn't mess with your proxy settings, then skip this. Also, when downloading FF, it's a good idea to turn off your anti-virus and anti-spyware until installation is complete. And formally speaking, you should disconnect from the net, including phone cord, defrag and then re-boot the computer before re-connecting to the net for use. After installation, FF will give you a page to customize your browser. There is a list of add-ons that are self explanatory. Pick ones that you want and if you don't understand what it does, you probably don't need it. One exception - download the IE Plug-in. It makes for a better experience on websites that are optimized for use with Internet Explorer. Much smoother going with this and the use of it is explained in the download. If you still have problems, just shovel them my way. I'm sure I'll be able to doze right through them!

I hear a lot of people say they are having problems with Firefox but it works great for me. I never have any problems at all with it. Besides IE there is also Netscape that I know of and I'm sure others will have some advice for you. I'm sorry you are having so many problems with it.

There could be a problem with your operating system. Try fixing your operating system first. Since both of your Web browser fails you then try have a virus scan or malware scan. You could be infected thus damaging registry settings for these browsers.

It seems like you have bugs in your pc that are causing errors so often. My advice to you is that you uninstall firefox update your antivirus program ( Install one if you don't have it ) , run a complete scan of your computer in safe mode ONLY ! . It is important that PC is scanned in safe mode because if you do not scan in safe mode then most of your system files that are currently in use by your windows, will not be scanned for errors /bugs/viruses and in this way you are going to bypass some bugs.So after the scan is complete restart you computer in normal mode and install a newer version of firefox ( get is from their websire www.mozilla.com ) . Install it use it have fun . If you are still having problems you can contact me or message me any time.
