Has anything in life ever made you feel small of your act?

Or throwing a hot cup of tea over some one? I am a very placid, cuddly, tame wolf and it takes a lot to make me show my fangs, the only person who has angered me in life is my ex and I am not proud of the things I did, like a burst of anger which usually followed by me throwing stuff at him! It made me feel good but also small because I had sunk to a lower level!

The one and only time I ever threw anything at my husband he laughed his ta*l off. He said "I wondered when you would get around to standing up for yourself!" and "You should throw things more often!" It didn't really make me feel good at all, but I did notice that he stopped being such a jerk.

I almost always feel terrible about it on those extremely rare occasions when I get mad instead of getting even. I am really quite peace loving by nature, but my adorable husband gets bored if he doesn't have someone to quarrel with on occasion. So sometimes when he wants to verbally spar I do get mad and accuse him of picking on me. Hah! I know perfectly well all I need to do is sit on his lap and tickle him into a grin. But sometimes he hits a raw nerve and I instinctively lash back instead of making it a joke. Then instead of making him look foolish, I make myself look foolish. Oh, rotten ick!
