I am a bit jaded because I worked for United. Then again I didn't have to pay much so I could not complain about the service. I now have to look for prices to go back to the states for a visit. When is the best time to buy and which airline is best for NOT losing luggage? I am prepared to hear any gripes/praise you have. To me it's all useful info. Thanks

I have traveled with Virgin Atlantic and think that they have got comfortable seats, a seat back screen, friendly service and I haven't heard that they lose people's luggage. Air New Zealand is perhaps one of my favorite airlines. It has a generous amount of leg room, lovely seats and superb service. Again I think that they are quite reliable with luggage. British Airways have less leg room but quite good service. I have found them to be quite reliable with luggage. Good luck choosing the right airline for traveling to the states. I hope that you will have a wonderful trip.

I haven't flown much besides to/from Japan, but I have always been more than satisfied with JAL and ANA. But when I flew domestically in the U.S. a few times, I was extremely disappointed with Horizon Air. Every flight I went on with them was at least an hour delayed for unknown reasons, and the service was pretty bad.

Thanks. We'll steer clear of Horizon Air. I am mostly interested in international, as some of you who know who have looked in my profile, I live in Buenos Aires and grew up just outside Chicago. But this is not only about me. Everyone will be able to refer to your experiences when making a choice of which airline to fly.

I like to fly American because they have the most comfortable seats and the most leg room in coach.

I have traveled on AirTran, Delta, and Northwest. AirTran was the most frequent because they always had the cheapest prices. They were always pretty good although there's no meals or anything, at least there wasn't on my flights. AirTran misplaced my luggage one time, and I flew using their services at least four times. The time I flew that I didn't have my luggage when I arrived was around Christmastime, so I'm sure it was crazy getting all the luggage in the right places. I went to find out about my luggage, and the guy I talked to was really nice and very understanding. He told me they would look for it and send it to me as soon as possible. I got back on a Friday night. I was thinking the worst and was just sure my hundreds of dollars worth of luggage was gone. However, on the following Tuesday, my suitcase was at my house safe and sound. I think it just hadn't made it onto the correct flight. My suitcase (it was only one that they misplaced) weighed at least 50 lbs., and the airlines overnighted it to my house, which cost them over $100 to do. I was very happy once I got my stuff back, although I wasn't pleased they misplaced it at the time. I was home from school for Christmas break, so I had to borrow clothes from my sisters until my things arrived. I haven't had any problems with Delta or Northwest, but it's been a while since I flew on either. AirTran was the one I used the most. I would actually suggest AirTran only because my experiences were mostly positive, and they really do have the least expensive flights, or at least they did for my particular flights. I hope you find the best airlines and prices for your traveling needs!

Hey! according to me i think Emirate's is one of the finest airline's now. I have flown in Alitalia,Lufthansa,Qatar, But i still feel that in Emirate's the seats are comfortable, the service is too good, enough of leg room. I think its value for money. And have'nt even heard or experienced about lost baggage issue. So wish you Comfortable fight Journey, hope it helps.. :)
