Implanon Removal

I've felt really low and depressed since I had my implanon birth control taken out 4 days ago. I was wondering if anyone else felt like this or could relate to this as a side effect of getting this removed?

I'm not really sure why you'd be feeling this way, i had mine removed not long ago because we were going to try for a 2nd baby - i believe mine was in for just over a year & i never felt anything like what you're feeling. Maybe you should just speak to your Dr about it & see if he can explain it better but i can only guess it's because you now have your normal hormones back, it may take a little while for them to go back to the way they were before.

Thanks I am starting to feel a bit better now and less depressed I think you are right in saying getting my normal hormones back.

I have had one and have had it removes, but I don't think it is related to your depressed and sad feelings. Because there are no hormones in implanon. Why did you get it removed? I got it removed because we wanted to have another baby.

Hi thanks for your reply. Yes I had it removed because we are trying to have another baby. Our daughter is 2 now and if we leave it any longer there will be much more of an age gap.
