What should I do when a buyer

does not reply to an email? I sold some toffee on Saturday to a lady. She paid right away, but she was supposed to choose what kind of chocolate she wanted on her toffee. I have sent her 2 emails, but she has not replied yet. I want to be able to ship this stuff out, but I can't unless I know what kind of chocolate to put on it. Should I email her again? Should I just pick a kind to put on? I make it with semi sweet usually, but I sold some to someone else and they want milk chocolate. What should I do?

I would send another message via Ebay letting her know that you will wait two more days for her response and if you don't hear from her you will send the flavor pictured in the auction. This way you're giving her the option, but ultimately it's up to her. You can't wait forever. I hate buyer's like that. COMMUNICATION is everything on Ebay, in my opinion. :)

I agree with you, I sell alot of body jewelry and in the auction I state the colors and I add in the description please let me know which color you want or I will just send what is pictured, to be honest some people not even notice the flavors and just see the picture you have on the auction, good luck

I'd wait a day. Then I'd make it like in the photo. Since I've had it, I know that she'll enjoy it. It's good stuff. And it's not like you didn't make the effort.

If you are sending it to a Yahoo address it might be hitting her spam or bulk folder. I'd say give it a few more days then print out the copies of the emails that you sent with the order. Maybe you could do a split order, like half semi sweet chocolate and half whatever else you use. Good luck!

It is going straight through eBay, so it should not be hitting her junk mail box. On well, I guess I will wait another day and then mail her some of whatever I choose.

I wouldn't just pick a kind to put on, because you never know if she could be allergic to something. I would check and see if she has another email or something. Otherwise, there's not much else you can do.

There is a way for you to get her telephone number....I can't remember how you do it but I know there is because as a seller I have had to do it more than once because people don't respond to emails. If you want me to find out how to do it let me know and I will. Good luck.

What type of toffee was shown in the listing? She may just be assuming that is what she is getting. However, I would keep emailing. I never understand why buyers don't respond. I put in my listings when there is a choice that if I am not told what the choice is then they will get what is in the main photo.

It is semi sweet in the photo. I personally think it is sweet enough without a milk chocolate on it, but the one buyer wanted milk chocolate. I don't want to not ship it to her, but I don't want her getting mad that she got a kind of chocolate that she didn't like either.

Give it a couple of days, Check and see if she has a phone number you can call. If she does not respond soon. Keep a copy of all your emails to her. If after 14 days from sale she still has not contacted you. Then go to Safety and trust and get help or contact live help for ideas.

I think open communication is the most important part of ebay. I have had the same type of trouble with getting some buyers to pay. They do not answer emails and sometimes phone calls until you turn them in for not paying. Not the case here, I assume. I would contact ebay and get a phone number. They will also send her a notice that you have requested her contact details. If you have a cell phone the cost is usually minimal. If you can't reach them, leave a message on their machine. If you still don't get a response in a few days make a judgement call. She may contact you because she hasn't received her item yet and is wondering when you are going to ship it. If you don't get a response in 10 days and she has paid for the item, I would send her 1/2 of both of the chocolates with a note attached referring to your repeated attempts to contact her. You shouldn't have to reward her for her lack of consideration but maybe a coupon of some kind on her next order would let her know you made every effort possible. If you need help finding her contact information with eBay I would be happy to help you. My handle is getskinny23 Good Luck to you!

i think you should a few days first.maybe she is busy and does not have time to check her emails yet.You can try emailing her if you want.but just give it a few days waitingg period first.some people cannot reply you immediately due to connection problems they having. don't pick for her yet since you are not sure which one she wants.everyone have their different favourites.doesn't mean she would like the same thing like others do.lets say you oredy pick up for her and she doesn't like it when she received it.what you gonna do then?? that time she might gave you a negative feedback for not receiving something she wants.or she might file a dispute against you and want her money back.that would cause more troubles till headaches.as you know feedback is more important.it will increase your sales as trustworthy seller. so my suggestion do not do anything that might give you a risk of getting a negative feedback.you would not lose anything by waiting for a few days more.or else if she gave you her phone number you can try calling her.maybe that would give a faster response.but if she didn't give phone number then you just have to wait

It could be that she is too busy to log in to read her emails, or that she is unaware that there is a pending decision about the kind of chocolate to go with the toffee. I have a feeling that it is both. Perhaps give her a little more time, and let her know that you will hold sending the package out till she confirms her preference, so that her order will be fulfilled correctly to her liking. If she does not respond after a long enough period, maybe you can give her a mixture of the different types, or the types that are the most popular that people usually order. I'm sure when she finally reads your emails, she will appreciate the trouble you have taken as a responsible seller to ensure the right product is delivered.
