SuperBowl Chili

United States

Now this is one of the biggest arguments in cooking. And with the superbowl being played this weekend, there will be more then a few bowls of chili downed. For all of you chili cooks, how do you make your chili? Ground Beef or Chunks ... do you go with Chicken or White Chili instead ... do you add beans (ducks at that question ... I know quite a few Texans) Is it 0,1,2,or 3 alarm or should I just have a hose ready. I've made many variations on chili, including white chili with chicken and pork, each has certain similarities, and have a couple of cookbooks just dedicated to the dish. I'm not really looking for recipes but just a description.

I make vegetarian chili with a few different kinds of beans (like pinto, navy, and kidney), tomatoes, onions, sometimes carrots, and lots of chili powder...I like it a little spicy...not too hot.

If talking about chili, I have so many dishes which using chili. The soy sauce with chili, dried shrimp paste with chili and lime juice, chili with garlic and ginger paste etc are the dip for my fried chicken or fish. for the dip, I use about 10 to 15 red bird eye chilies. I also like to make my fried rice cooked with some bird eye chili. The white chili in my place is a hot chili, what we normally do with them is cook our fried fish in the chili. It taste nice and I like hot chili taste in my food.

Hubby makes his own Chili although it's not for the Superbowl...he doesn't even watch it. It's made with a mix of hamburger and hot italian sausage, he uses kidney beans and lots of peppers, onions and tomatoes. He also uses a season package and it is extremely hot when he's finished. I don't eat it but he loves it. **AT PEACE WITHIN** ~~STAND STRONG IN YOUR BELIEFS~~
