Written by bivvy Friday, 01 February 2008 "Improving the eating habits of would-be criminals could cut rates of crime and antisocial behavior by as much as a third, scientists have suggested. Simple measures to make sure that prisoners, including murderers, get a recommended daily dose of vitamins and minerals could make them less impulsive, reducing violence both inside prison and in the wider community, according to researchers at the University of Oxford. Young male inmates in England and Scotland are to be given vitamin supplements as part of the first large study to determine if better nutrition can improve the health of their brains and help them to keep violent urges at bay. The £1.4 million project, funded by the Wellcome Trust, follows controlled studies in Britain and Denmark where nutrition supplements reduced assaults, thefts and other offences among inmates in young offender institutions." read this more at http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/news/uk/crime/article3265948.ece read good news at www.goodnewsnetwork.org

have you heard that a healthy mind comes from a healthy body? thats how it works, if a person get a healthy diet he/she will have a healthy body and most likely to make a 'healthy' or good life decision. Healthy diet certainly has some good influence on a person behavior. I will agree if you say they also has to feed all criminal with a healthy spiritual diet too..

i dont think it will work, because criminals is not from health, it wii be to the person we can even till it sickness, they made those thing just to learn about how your brain work to thier medicines.

This makes a lot of sense. It is well noted amongst children that diet can have a remarkable affect on their behaviour & ability to learn at school. Why not on criminals? Some of these people may well not have eaten a proper diet all their lives & have deficencies that could lead to all sorts of unwelcome behaviour.

I have actually heard that before, that of you did not get the right amount of certain foods that you were more likely to become more violent...I don't know wheater to actually beleive this or not becaus quiet honestly I have never realyl given it much thought...while that could possibly be the reason that some people are violent(if this is true)I just think that some of the people in the world today are just plain out mean...I mean have you really heard of some of the things that are going on now a days in the world!
