My kids are taking sweettarts suckers that are shaped like hearts with their Valentines to school. It is easy to tape the suckers to the inside of the valentines and they did not cost very much. What are your kids talking with their Valentines cards?

Cupcakes instead of candy. - dozen cupcakes
My daughter decided to make cupcakes instead of sending candy to my Granddaughters Valentines party. When she told the teacher about it she was thrilled because all the other parents are sending loads of candy and it will be nice to have something different she said.

The teacher had the kids sign up at the beginning of the year to bring special treats for the parties my son signed up for Christmas so I am sure the parents who have valentine will bring something like cupcakes.

My son decided to give McDonald's coupons with his Valentines. The coupons are for free fries, apple dippers, ice cream cone, cookie, apple pie, or kid size drink. I got them at McDonald's for $1 for 12 coupons.

Both my kids arent allowed to take candy to school to hand out...its school policy, they arent supposed to bring homemade treats either (like cupcakes etc)...and neither of my kids hand out cards anymore but they use to when they were younger..I remember those days when I was a kid..It was so exciting to see how many cards you got and from who LOL

Mine homeschool but there are tons of parties and events that are planned - one is a laser tag game and another has paint ball. I will end up getting the usual cupcake request at the last minute but there is plenty of Valentine candy here that they can take too.

A friend of mine always used to bring little planes made out of sticks of Big Red, the wings, with lifesavers as the wheels. They were fairly simple, but really exciting to get. I mean... a plane is just unexpected!
