Don't you know that comments in other blogs brings more visitors to your blog?

Are you aware that if you comment in other blogs brings you more visitors and more money. When you comment to other blogs you have a chance to place a link on that comment at lest on the name field. If you submit a good comment or interesting comment readers may click on the link and reach your site. Are you using this method of free site promotion?

Actually, when I began making comments and reactions on other people's blog, it was just that their post really struck me. I would read different blogs, hang around some people's blogs whose writings I really enjoyed reading. Little did I realize that they would come and visit my own blog and make their comments too. That made me feel great, and then I would find myself visiting their site more often too. Some other bloggers even added my link to their blogroll, and I also have begun adding their links to mine too. Eventually I have found my own frequent readers to my own blogsite. Yes, you are right, making comments on other people's blogs is a good way for site promotion.

You make a very good point, Blossom. It was something that hadn't occured to me (though I have been aware of people doing it). It does need to be done very carefully, though, because, effectively, you are writing in someone else's book, so one should be the essence of politeness when doing it. One of the things that I hate is to see people who spam other people's blogs (and mine) without a thought for the fact that they are merely pushing their own stuff and barely commenting on another's. If it happens to me, I will delete the comment and I might even write to them privately to say so or, if that is not possible or they are a persistent offender, I will leave a suitable message on their blog to advise other users of their behaviour. I am not saying that you would be guilty of this, of course, but some people reading your discussion might take it into their heads to do it (I mean to just leave a random, copied-and-pasted comment on all the blogs they can find). I don't suppose that such people would even get as far as reading this response, though, but - just in case - I wanted to make the point!

Yes, I've done this sometimes in the past. It's just a matter of finding blogs that are relevant to your own.

Yes I have observed that. That is really one good way to get traffic pouring into your site. I'm glad you're sharing what you know regarding blog traffic. And yes I am using this method as a way of free site promotion. It is indeed highly effective: the more you comment, the more traffic and hitbacks you get for your blog.

yes, I aware. but I usually left my comments because they really made any good posts or articles that triggered me to leave my comments. I usually don't place the link of my site / blog at the comments area, but on my name field. well, as long as you leave good and friendly and sincere comments, I believe the owners of the blogs will leave your comment as it is. :)

That was a good observation. I think that is one way of bringing traffic to your site. I'll include in my list on ways to get traffic. Thank you for that input!
