I would say 'old' is not so much a measure of years, but instead a state of mind. I'm probably saying that because I'm 36, ha ha.

I hope 30 isn't old, I'm 27 and my friends are about the same age mostly. I used to think it was old. I probably thought 20 was old when I was very young! But now, I don't know. "Old" has got older as I have got older and now I know a really nice 80 year old lady who doesn't seem old at all. I think old is a feeling rather than an age. (but that makes me sound old now..)

I say "old" is ten years older than you are right now, no matter what age you are. A few years ago, my aunt called me, she was all depressed cuz she was turning 40 and to her that meant old. I said, don't worry auntie, you're not old, 50 is old. She laughed and it made her feel good. I told her to be sure to call me when she's turning fifty, and I will reassure her that 50 is not old, 60 is. This way of looking at it will keep anyone from thinking they are old:) We are only as old as we allow ourselves to be anyway:)

what 30 is old? How about the upper 40ish people. In my mind, you just old if you feel old. Age is just a matter of mind and I believe it. My grandma never think she is old. Maybe that why she is still healthy as an ox and she turned 93 this year.

My dad turned 61 years old last month and he said that he is comfortable with his age and he doens't fill a bit old. Maybe it all depends on the way you feel not the age you actually are....

Heh funny question. I keep moving 'old' up in age the older I get. I am 35 and could probably outrun and out play just about anyone that was 10 years my junior. However, when I was in school 35 was OLD. Old to me is when the body starts to become debilitating... so OLD to me is ~65-70 years old. Maybe a little less than that but not by much. The quality of life has increased to dramatically that I can see people in their 50s looking very good and even someone in their 60s leading a very 'normal' life... and the opposite can be said as well. Thanks for the post. Zelo

I just had to go and look at your profile when you posted here that you thought 30ish was old. After I saw the age you are I understand why you listed that age as being old. I am 58 and don't consider myself as old. I did have to chuckle when I saw your age because I know to one that is your age that 58 in your eyes is old. . When you get to be 30ish you will look back and think I thought this was old what was I thinking. .

I think you will be consider old when youre mental faculties starts to fail you, that time when you forget about the relationship you have with the people around you. that I guess is old. but 30? 40? well thats just the beginning of life. =)

Chris! You were my second friend on mylot, but this is the first time I actually looked at your age. It says you are 16, but you say you're in college? Anyway, if you are 16 or even 20 you would think 30 is old, but after you turn 30 and still feel like you are 20 and wonder what is happening to your body, lol, you start to think higher ages are old. Right now I'm going to be 43 in a couple weeks. I have some friends that are in their 50's and 60's and I don't think they seem that old. Now I call 80 old.

I consider old any person who doesn't remember how old he is. Sure , some people are loosing memory at 30, but most only after 90.... Am I baby at 88? sure I am..... I am only 88 years young my friend. So, maybe 90 is old...he, he

I feel retirement age 60+ is old. Chris, you make me feel "OLD", I will be 46 years old tomorrow. The funny thing is that other moms are surprised when I tell them how old I am. They say I don't look it or act it. LOL

I would say people in their teens and their early twenties are quite senile, unable to use their power of reasoning well, judging by the idiotic way they behave. On the contrary, a person really starts working and achieving something in their lives only when they cross their forties. Till then, life is a big confusion. This is an instant response to your statement. :) Ok, age is in your head and the way you carry yourself. I have met many mature people in their teens; I have also met stupid old people. So if you are thirty and you call yourself old, then so be it. And if you are in your seventies and still feel young, then you are young. It depends on individuals, not age at all. Cheers and happy mylotting!

Aging varies from person to person. Some people are "old" but look young for their age. Also, some people are young but look old for their age. I don't have a set age as to what I would classify as being "old". It depends on their personality, their lifestyle, health, etc. 30 is NOT old at all to me, however some people don't think that.
