Baked Beans aren't just for picnics!

Tonight for supper I had some Bush's baked beans as my veggie. For some reason I usually just have them in the summer but tonight they looked really appealing and I totally enjoyed them. Do you eat baked beans on a regular basis or are you like me and forget to eat them in the winter months?

I eat them on a fairly regular basis. We eat often at a local bar-b-que restaurant and they serve baked beans and fried corn on the cob. It's excellent food. We go there on Friday evenings before I go to work. I know it can be risky eating beans and going to work but my smeller doesn't work. I like to make baked beans with ketsup, brown sugar, a little bit of mustard and dried onion soup. Talk about good.

Fried corn on the cob? Never heard of that but it does sound interesting and good. Do they put any type of batter on it? If not then how do they do it if you don't mind my asking? Your homemade baked beans sound very good too, sounds like the ones my mother used to make only not with dried onion soup, just regular chopped up onions.

No batter on the corn. It's just deep fried and is so crispy and tasty. We love it.

They do sound good. I also like the ones they make with a bunch of different beans in them. I have never made them myself because they make such a big batch and I would be eating them forever....but your's sound good too!

Funny you should say this. I haven't had baked beans since summer but was planning to make them tonight with our hamburgers. We have the Bush's too- aren't they the best? Soemtimes I will add kidney beans and black beans to them, then doctor them up with some seasonings to make a 3-bean casserole. Yummy!

we love beans in this house (at least us gals do) and eat them year round... I especially like the taste when made starting with dried beans... I do like very much the Charro beans we get down in S. Texas at the restaurants. as far as baked beans one thing I miss about the North East is getting Grandma Brown's baked beans, haven't had them in more than a dozen years, and well - they are special. I like cold baked beans the next day on bread with a little mustard for a sandwich. so satisfying!

I really actually like them on top of mac and cheese! Or in a hot dish with just a little hamburger and mustard! Thanks for sharing!

I love good baked beans and Bush's makes some really good ones. I don't just eat them in the summer time. We had some just a week or two ago.

My father-in-law has a BBQ stand and he has baked beans for the rib plates he has. My husband likes baked beans. I personally hate them. I won't cook them unless my husband asks for them, or he makes it himself. Other than that he get them from his dad. I have never really liked them.

Good thing we all have different tastes right? Otherwise there would be such a high demand they would run out of them! Thanks for posting!
