Drawn On Eyebrows: Gorgeous or Gross?

Within the past few days I found myself in a shopping centre where I noticed a young woman who had replaced her natural eyebrows with a single line of eyeliner over each eye. She could have easily been still in her teens. Perhaps I am just not as trendy as I would like to be or I am more attuned to a classic standard of beauty which includes eyebrows but this look strikes me as bizarre. I would love to know what you think about this "trend" or what is an acceptable beauty standard for women's eyebrows.

Dresden Dolls - Dresden Dolls - Amanda Palmer
I don't like it. I have only seen one girl, which makes it look nice and that is Amanda Palmer from Dresden Dolls. She doesn't just do a straight line, but rather a very interesting design. It fits her funky personality well.

I hated when seeing people with drawn on eyebrows, i always thought it looked tacky and very few people did it while i was in school. If you do it b/c you over plucked i could understand that one, but to be fashoinable, to me its a fashion dont.

while I think that is ok to pluck some of your eyebrow I hate the look of the eyebrow that have been drawen on with a pencil. It is not natural. Your eyebrows are supposed to move not loo lie you are surprised all the time.

I don't really like drawn on eyebrows. It looks so unnatural (it is, literally). I prefer properly groomed eyebrows (plucked, trimmed) I don't know the reason behind drawing eyebrows. But if it makes them feel good, it's okay for me. I just don't want to have it myself.

I don't mind it. I know a lot of older ladies at the grocery store have theirs drawn on. Amanda Palmer of the Dresden Dolls draws hers on. She does these really cool, funky designs. I guess if you're a musician it's easier to pull that kind of look off =) I personally don't do it, but I don't mind when others do.

I think it depends on the person, on average though it does look quite bizarre. Which is why I've never done it lol. Why do more shaving when it's unecessary? No thanks.

I think it's perfectly fine to pluck eyebrows to shape them, but getting rid of them entirely is just wrong. My cousin used to do this, and it's totally Gross (to use your word)
