I remeber reading Forever Amber to get with the "cool" girls, but can't remember what it was about or if I even liked it! Probably should try again!

To Kill A Mockingbird would make my top ten but for number one, I'd have to say "Madame Bovary". Even in translation, it's stunning and I think it's the most beautifully written book of all time.

Cheaper By The Dozen - the original one written by the two oldest children (I believe). I love that book Heard it first in 6th grade and read it several times after. I wanted that many kids, i wanted to be just like that mom! Sad it never happened, but i still like the book! The movie was pretty good to - well, the original one - that new one with Steve Martin - what a sad disgrace on the story that movie was!
Also - All the Rivers Run - about the cargo boats in Australia - amazing! The mini series was SO GOOD I bought the book, but it was so different - but still so good!

mine would be The Little Prince. i love the simplicity and complexity of the story and each and every characters thoughts.
