Is there a song that reminds you of someone you loved that makes you cry every time you hear it? My father loved the song Walk Through This World With Me by George Jones, 4 months before he died he said he wanted that song played at his funeral. There is a guy who sings and plays guitar that stood at the top of the church and played this song it was so gorgeous but now I can't hear that song without it making me cry here is a link to the song if you have never heard it http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=36bGhLkNFHM What song reminds you of someone you have lost that you loved?

Dance with my father by L.V. makes me cry, just humming it brings tears to my eyes. but my dad is still alive, young at heart and physically strong. Maybe I cry whenever I hear this because, I can;t imagine life without my dad. He's one of the best, he taught me a lot and i love him so much.

Ohh, that was beautifully said. I hope he knows this- what you told us. It makes me happy how happy and close you two are. :o)

Oh, that is beautifully said. How wonderful, what a great relationship you have with your father. I have had thick and thin with my father too. Ups and downs, but we've both cried in each other's arms too. I hope your dad knows what you said to us! :o)

I have just encounter this song not long ago. Its name is Little Cockhorse which is a Chinese song. It's about life with grandmother. I was brought up by my grandmother and I spent most of my childhood with her. Whenever I listen to this song, it just remind me of the good old days.

Yes there are 2 songs. Angel from city of angels and Josh Grobin I lift you up. Both remind me of my aunt who passed away May 6th, 2005. I miss her deeply. I am so sorry to hear about your father. I feel for you. They say it gets better, but sometimes it never seems like it. It's been almost 3 years and I still cry and run out the room when those songs come on.

My Peteys song is Because You Loved Me by Celine Dion. When he passed away I played that song so many times I just about wore it out. He really was and still is my best friend and the light of my life. **AT PEACE WITHIN** ~~STAND STRONG IN YOUR BELIEFS~~

When i first saw this discussion, one song comes right into my mind "Only reminds of you", performed by MYMP. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y0SOx2kyNpM This song really reminds me of someone, (actually my crush) in my college days. She is beautiful and has a great sense of humor, and a very good friend of mine, but i just kept my feelings for her. I was too afraid, to tell how i feel for her at that time, because i thought our friendship will turn sour. Until, when I have the guts to tell her. It just shocked me when i learned that she already have a boyfriend. *sigh*

Well, no, I'm not a very sentimental kind of girl, but my boyfriend is. There was a time two years ago when we broke up. We never spoke to each other for six months. Recently, he told me he cried when he heard this song right after our breakup. It's entitled "I Can't Cry Hard Enough." I don't know who sang it but I heard it, and it's really sad. I feel really bad for making my boyfriend cry that time.

There are quite a few songs that remind me of people I have lost. Pretty much any classical music reminds me of my first love, but anything by Beethoven reminds me of him even more. He loved to play any of Beethoven's violin pieces, but Pathétique Sonata was one of the few things my first love would put away his violin and sit at a piano for. Any music with Gaelic vocals reminds me of my great-grandmother, who used to sing in Gaelic to me when I was a child. I suppose that's not the same as having specific songs... Suil a Ruin was one of her favorites though.

Years back I left someone for what I thought was a better deal if you know what I mean, I was looking for what I thought was real love, soemone that held your hand and walked with his arm around you. When I really had the real love already, learn that when it is too late. Tim McGraw has a song "Like We Never Loved at All" and when I hear it, I wonder if when he see me or passes me in the street does he feel the same but to proud to say anything. I think that sone says it all.

lol...I wouldn't know where to start. There are so many songs that make me break down and cry. They either remind me of my Dad or my Mom both of them have passed away. There are songs that remind me of my daughter who lives in CA and I haven't seen in a few years and of course there are those that remind me of my ex who I'm still having a hard time getting over. I think I'm just too emotional! lololol...

Yes. LOTS lol. The most prominent song for me at the moment is "Nakushita Kotoba" it's in japanese [title means "Lost words"] and it really really reminds me of the best friend I used to have, especially with the melody and the singer's voice.

When "Hemorrhage" by Fuel comes on the radio, I have to change the station. That's the song that was playing after I had to have my dog euthanized and I was taking his poor little body home. It's been 8 years and I still can't listen to it. Music is so powerful, isn't it?

Yes, the song "In My Daughter's Eyes" by Martina McBride reminds me of my mom. She asked me to have this song played at my wedding and when they played it, I danced to it with her. My mom passed away last year, so I do get sad when I hear it now, but at the same time, it makes me feel good because the words to the song tell me that she was very proud of me and loved me very much. So, I cry and smile at the same time when I hear it!

Dance with my father. Obvious who I miss from the title. Luther Vandross is the artist. Whilst he was alive this tune was spoken of with him and some of the family. Also historically there are two others that I sing one 'Oh I do like to be beside the seaside' and constantly reminded of it by our parrot who also sings it. 'No matter what' by boyzone aswell stars in the old playlist as dad taught the parrot to sing that too. On his epitaph it should have read '' he was a daft old sod!' Never a day without a smile, stupid joke or some well nutty bit of fun and laughter. Sorely missed with smiles though.

I am sorry to hear that. May his soul rest in peace! I dont have any specific song that makes me miss a person. I have my lovely friends who are right now away from me. Whenever, i look at college kids, or if i happen to open my album, i start missing my friends. While watching movies, if the movie happens to be a college story or something similar, I start missing my old & precious friends. I want my friends back... missing them a lot...
