my wish would be to have a part time job that I could do even with a bad arm and my age deficit of 81 so I again would feel that I am paying my way in the world and am worth something. I worked in my local libary until I was seventy nine and was laid off by my supervisor when I asked for a two week absence because I had to have surgery. her excuse was well you are almost eighty.I had been doing a better job than a lot of the teenagers so why was age such a dealfor her. She sounded as if it was a crime to be old. so now I am forcibly retired and bored as hell.

Hatley if it is of any consolation I share your frustration in this area of senior citizens being put out to pasture, when they have a wealth of experience and wisdom which is not being harnessed. With the experience and love of books you have aquired, may I suggest you perhaps utilisze this and write a book.If you have access to a tape recorder you could very possibly become the next Barbara Cartland!A friend on mylot shared a wonderful web site where one can share poetry and writings. Also they offer competitions with generous prizes.I truly think you are an inspiration,as I know you are not worthless. Enjoy your time on mylot,I have found the members thus far pleasant and supportive. www.onestopwriteshop.com.....Best wishes with you future endeavours.

Well I think I would wish for Magick. Yeah, Magick powers. I would be specific in what I wanted. I would ask for the power to manifest all manner of good things for myself and others. To be able to heal at a touch, prevent bad things from happening to people, and to provide food for the starving, shelter for the homeless, and a healthy natural environment for all living things. I guess I'd want to be the personification of Mother Nature. If you've ever read Piers Anthony's Incarnations of Immortality, you know what I mean :D

I would like to own property with multiple homes on it that I could rent out and live off of the income from the renters.

I'd ask for a hundred wishes If that was against the rules then i would be mildly selfish and ask that I didn't have to pay taxes ever again
