do you still use a hair dryer? does it take a long time to dry your hair with it? do you use the blow dryer variety or a hooded dryer or one of those caps with a vacuum type hose blowing the hot air into it? ---- I do not use anything but a towel - no, it does not dry it - but my hair takes so long to dry I don't have the patience for a dryer perhaps I would use a hooded drier if I still had one because at least that way I could read a book while using it.

Hi Modestah, I also don't have patience for hair dryer, so, like you, I am using my towel to dry it and after try to comb using my fingers before I will use my brush, The reason is if I will use my brush right away, the more hair will come out and I hate looking it!

If I used a blowdryer I would blow off my Homer hair... y'know the last couple of strands before you have to finally call yourself officially bald. Ugghhh. Thanks for the joy! Zelo

I have two hair dryers at home but I don't use them. I don't like blow my hair dry because I think it's harmful for hair. I prefer to let it dry naturally.

I have a thick hair and I tried using a hair dryer before as well but I noticed that it made my hair dry as in damaged dry. I can even smell that as if my hair is being fried. Also I don't feel comfortable with the hot air that its blowing, its making me sweaty especially if I am all dressed up. So now, what I am doing is like you is I toweled my hair dry to shake off excess water. Then I use electric fan to dry it a little bit more. I brush my hair as it is being dryed under the electric fan. Then I just let it dry completely naturally. I never went outside the house with a wet hair because it attracts dust and dirt easily. I like the salon that I am going to now. They don't use hot blow dryer to dry hair, they only use it to style, what they use is the opposite. It is a blower also but it does not let out hot air.

I use a hairdryer less than once a year. I only use one when I really really need to. It's way too damaging for your hair, and since I'm trying to grow and keep long hair, I don't need anything like intense heat every day to dry it out and cause any breakage. I wrap my hair in a towel when I get out of the shower and then let my hair air dry.

I haven't used a hair dryer in years. I didn't like the humming sound, it bothered my ears so I quit using one before it could do any serious damage. I brush my hair out to remove access water in my hair. If I didn't it would take hours for my hair to dry as it is long and thick.

I do use one every day. But it only takes about 5 minutes to dry my hair as it's short. I don't think I would ever go back to the type with the cap....or a hooded one. I like the convience of quickly drying it and styling it and off I go!

nope I rarely use the hairdryer, unless I'm in a real hurry to go out and my hair's like really wet so I have to dry it with a hair dryer. If not I'll just let it dry naturally.

I haven't used one since I moved to the US nearly 18 years ago. I think that once my hair started to fall out and receed, I give less attention to my hair than I used to. Also, living in a warmer climate, my hair is cut shorter and dries in no time naturally. It's funny, as 20 years ago, I would spend a long time in front of the mirror concerned that the back of my hair was curling too much!
