Do Endorsements Influence you?

When somebody, whether it be a celebrity, or an elected public official endorse a certain candidate, does that influence you? I used to think that it doesn't influence me one iota, but this morning, I read that Jack Kemp signed onto be part of John McCain's economic team. Although I didn't vote for Bob Dole when Kemp was his running mate, having Jack Kemp as his running mate scored brownie points from me. And now, with Kemp on McCain's economic team, McCain has scored some brownie points with me. Likewise, if someone i diliked or not respected endorses someone, it would score negative points with me, but overall, I don't think they help or hurt much, except to break an absolute tie for me to decide.

Endorsement are meaningless to me. What you described with Jack Kemp is different. He's actually part of McCains team meaning he has input and is involved in the process. An endorsement is just saying "I want this guy to be in office". Frankly, I don't care who anyone else wants in office. I just study the issues and make my own decisions.

Endorsements don't influence me a single bit. I don't care who is voting for who. I will make my decisions based on what I think of the candidates themselves, not based on what I think of the people who are voting for them.

Endorsements go no where with me either. I have a mind of my own and I will vote for who I think is best for this Country.
