I am so mad at myself right now, but I am laughing that I did this, too. I completely deleted the mysql database for the site, so now all you see it "warning: table does not exist" all over the page...oh man! Everything is lost... I was trying to build a second site - they are both hosted by the same server and for some reason I must have confused which mysql database I was working with for which site... Yikes! Maybe it is a good thing there were not many users yet! I am going to take this opportunity to get "back to the drawing board" and redevelop the site...there were a few things I didn't like about it so I can make those changes now. I only wish it would have occured to me to back up the databases before I hit delete...I thought it was the other site though, and so I "knew" I didn't need any of it...man oh man... Have you ever done anything stupid like this before? I will use it as a learning experience - I will not touch those tables again without making a back up of the database first!

That is why I just signed up for ElephantDrive, lol. Sometimes I don't save things I should because I don't want to bother organizing it on my hard disk or fill it up with unorganized clutter, especially graphic-intensive stuff. Then it isn't there when I need it. Then I dutifully save stuff for a while and change computers, lol, and never get around to moving them or the disk crashes. There is always something. My sympathy! You will have it up soon, and better.

Elephant Drive sounds like something I need...you have no idea how much work I have saved and can't access due to computers frying! I will learn someday!

Yes, vera, I'm sure that a lot of us have done something like this before! I know I have , but like you say, it is a good learning experience, and it will make you a better computerperson for it!

It is very discouraging to say the least! getting mad won't solve the problem though...I've decided to pretty much scrap the whole thing and start over...hopefully it's the right thing to do!
