My experiment.

So my experiment in mylot is over, from yesterday. What I did was instead of responding to 40 discussions I started 40 of my own. I got at least 2 responses on each although most of them had over 2 pages, and I earned about three times as much money. I made, on average, 5 cents per posting. I think this is probably the way to go to make more money here, but I don't always have topics to start discussions with. If I did I would stick to starting discussions instead of responding to others, or maybe do both. I had never done this before, start that many discussions, and it was hard work coming up with that many topics. I like to say thanks to all the members here who responded to them all and I have read them all and commented where I could. It took me over 3 hours this morning to do that, so in the long run I don't know if I made more by doing this. But it sure was fun and interesting to read all those responses that people posted. Have you ever tried different things here to try to earn more money? I know most people here aren't here for the money, but it is nice to see those rewards. I enjoy being a member with mylot and I have made some really good online friends here.

Yeah, it's a lot more work and harder to do. I had to walk around my house and jot down ideas to start discussions with. I won't be doing that again for quite awhile.

Hey Chris. Thanks so much for the update. I was wondering how that worked out for you! That is great that it earned you more money, but I can relate to the fact that you want to answer or comment to everyone who responds and I know myself I can get caught up in that, which doesn't earn you any more money, but it is great that so many people respond and you want to keep the discussion going. As you said it is the enjoyment of it and meeting so many great online friends. And the money is always an extra added bonus when it is all said and done. Thanks again for sharing with us!

Yes, thanks, I like to try to keep the discussions going even though it doesn't earn me more money. It is just fun and I won't be posting that many again for quite some time. It isn't easy coming up with that many different ideas to start discussions about.

Hello dear chrislotz. I am glad that you have proved that your test by posting forty new discussions that same day and I was quite busy responding to quite some of them, though not all of them. But I am happy to learn that the earnings you got that day proved to be worth it. I have to say that you deserve it out of your efforts. Keep up, friend.

I went thru some of your discussions started. I had responded to some actually. Some you could tell that you were really struggling to come up with topics. Seriously, what brand of toilet paper?"... I guess if it paid off for you, it was worth it huh? But then you said your legs fell asleep from sitting on here. so do tell...was it worth it?

I think I may have missed some of those somehow? I am starting to have so many friends on the friends list the discussions are getting buried before I have a chance to read any of them! I think if you get a good response turn out you benefit from it, but I haven't seen much return from discussions with only 1 or 2 answers. I have noticed though that sometimes you can earn money even if you stayed away from mylot for a day or two, and I would have to think this is related to responses on discussions. Who knows? But Good Luck - I will see if I can track down some of your 40 new discussions, lol.

I have to say you have done a good work. It was not a long time after I came to this site. I think responding other's discussions is also fun thing to me.Earning more money is good.Yesterday I post 3 response and get 5 cents, this feeling is quite well! I don't know if I can get 1million dollars.:} Yes,“it is nice to see those rewards".I enjoy being a member of mylot,I hope find more friends in this site.

I also really enjoy being a member here. I didn't have a whole lot of extra time to be on the computer yesterday but I do remember responding to a couple of your discussions. I am glad to hear that you earned so much! I don't think I could ever think of that many topics in one day! I have only started one discussion since the whole idea of higher pay got started here. I did in fact make more money as well. I just prefer to answer other people's discussions most times. I add pictures every once awhile because we are supposed to make more with them, but usually I don't remember that I have one to coincide with the discussion until AFTER I post! :)

Well, since MyLot dont' tel you the how's of making the most money, and instinct is always there, trial and error are a good thing. I'd start more, but run out of things to say, well, I could say more, but quality postings do generate more earnings, and I guess I just don't want to be mindless chatty! I guess I should keep track of what I do and then do that math the next day and see. But at the same time, I just like to chat too! I'll put this on my To Do List!

wow!! starting 40 discussions. LOL. you really help us making progress in our own earning too. because we have a lot of discussions to respond even only on yours will help us boosting up the numbers of responses we can make during the day. this is my third month here and I haven't figured out different things here that help me to make better earning. I guess you should post a thread giving us the tips about how many ways we can do here to earn more, since you have been here longer than I have. and I need those tips sharing too. ;) I say thanks to you for starting a lot of discussions to be responded, your threads are very helpful because I won't really need to search more out there. :P

Yeah, I have tried different things, I founf that discussion which have most detailed and most replies you get paid most for. Then secondly for using key words, which only a couple of people know, this is how mylot (And various other ways) knows what quality your postings are. Lastly by posting good, detailed replies to discussions normally gets you a lot. the best way is still to find out what the key words are, then post a discussion that is huga, and full of them! lol Chris

I haven't really tried different things. I just respond to what interests me and, if something pops in my head as far as a topic to start, I will do that. But, I am not interesting enough to come up with new things to discuss! LOL! I just can't think of that much to ask people or bring up. I have noticed that it seems like the longer my responses to others, the better my earnings. But, I am not trying to do that. There are just some discussions where I have tons to say about them and others where one or two lines will say everything I have to say.

its good to hear people being honest. though most of us first came in looking for money, i think its the experience that holds us back. its infinitely better than networking sites or chat rooms.
