I can tell you that I always wanted to be a soldier wen I was a kid. Now that I have achieved that 20 plus years over, I'm thinking about what I want to be when I retire from the military. My questions is what did you want to be and did you get there?

I wanted to be a diesel mechanic, then a truck driver, a racing driver and a journalist. By the time I finished highschool I wanted a job that had power and prestige and if that came with money then it was an added bonus! I have studied at university twice, once for a bachelor of of arts majoring in english and then a business degree in marketing. I am also a Certified Infant Massage Instructor. After a successful career in sales I ended up being a stay at home mother who loves every moment of it. Recently I have started heading towards becoming a writer.

Thanks for commenting. I think being a stay-at-home mother is very important. And being a writer, well that is my choice of a next career maybe. Do what you love and the money will come, that is what they say.

I wanted to be a police officer. I still do, though my hubby thinks it's to dangerous. I also wanted and still want to be a nurse. When I was younger I used to love to volunteer at nursing homes. I used to spend my summers volunteering at nursing homes.

Thanks for commenting...keep following your dreams. I kind of feel the same way, I am good at a lot of things; but I am only great at a few.

I guess as a young boy I had a big fascination in trains! I was always drawing train maps, loved going on train journeys and would be so interested in them, that when I grew up I had decided at a very young age that I wanted to drive trains, that would be my dream! Taking people to work, taking people to the seaside, being able to tell everyone what stations the train would be stopping at! Sadly it never happened, the nearest I got was being a travel advisor giving out train times to people on the phone! Oh well almost!

Thanks for commenting. I like trains too. I take my kids to the train museum all the time. I think when we move this summer, we are going to build a model train in the garage.

I couldn't make up my mind about what I wanted to be when I grew up. First, I wanted to be a Vet because I love animals. Then, when I did my cooperative education course with a placement at a Vet's place, I fainted watching a surgery. So I gave up on the idea. Then, I thought about being a Pet groomer. I did achieve that and learned a lot through hands-on experience. I slowly lost interest in it though and moved on. Then, I tried out being a teacher assistant at a daycare. That was fun! I loved being around all the children. Especially the babies and the toddlers. I went to school for Web Design because of curiosity of how to make websites. I have always been a creative person. I am now a freelance Web Designer and I am liking it so far....but you never know! Haha

That's quite an intriguing question. I wanted to be the president of the state, for it meant unlimited powers. I suppose I was heavily influenced by the TV series and films. But as I grow up, I have gradually given up my fantasies and become more and more realistic. I now want to be a teacher in the university now, which I reckon more feasible. I've never wanted to be a military man, because I don't like the life on the military camp.

I think that most successful people will tell you about those first failures...they build character. Thanks for commenting.

anyone who nver has a failure in his life is not really a success ,and i am sure you cant learn anything from such a person, there is no glory without a story
