What do you think with a member who posts comments to your discussions only with ONE WORD? YES, MAYBE, NO, REALLY, GEEEZZZ, or AWESOME... or any other expression, but its was counted as ONE COMMENT? Oh, i dont like such a member. He/she seemed so stupid and abnormal... Its not a comment... its only expression. Do you think they are not yet graduate from elementary school? they can't differentiate between COMMENT and EXPRESSION... :(((

If its a one word or two word and DOES NOT contribute to the discussion then I'd see it like this... Yes, No, Really, Maybe, Geeez, Damn, (etc) = "Duh".

I think that most of the people who simply place expressions into a post are the ones that are on this site just trying to make money. The thing is mylot does not pay based on the number of responces that a person adds. They pay based on the quality of what is being said in the comment. Those people who just type a one word responce are trying to earn money, but are earning almost none for their efforts. I like to come to mylot for intersting conversation, as well as the possibility to make friends from all over the world.

I don't like those kinds of "comments" either. A comment should be in response to a discussion, a reaction to a certain topic. If someone agrees with your, he/she must explain why; if he/she says it's awesome, he/she must tell you why and maybe state a moment in his/her life that is in relation with the topic. Right?

I hate that and I won't respond back to them. I try to respond to anyone who responds to me, whether it is in my own discussions or a response from a response I made in someone else's discussion. I take the time to think out what I am going to say and I take the time to type it up. I am thorough. A one word response burns my butt because it is disrespectful to the time I took. If you don't have more to say, stay away!

Yes, I think you are right. Because as such, the conversation goes nowhere, thereby defeating the purpose of posting questions in the first place. I think that they should stop pulling these pranks and at least give a straight answer as well.

That makes me mad when someone does this. It's like a cheap comment to me. They could at least explain why they made this comment.

It is bad who just respond in one words. i have seen few of them i think its better then not to comment. What irritates me more seeing people posting one liner discussions and getting loads of responses for them.

I hate that too. They are wasting our time and their own by doing that. That is not a discussion and there is no way to respond to them either other than saying thank you or something silly like that.

I suggest reporting them, because they will get caught one way or another. It violates the mylot rules to do that, and while I don't expect you'd get in trouble, the fastest way to get rid of these people is to report them.

They are counted as a comment but I do not think that they would earn anything from that comment. I hope not so that they would stop wasting their time and others.

Personally I ignore them. They matter little in my day or my posting here on mylot. If mylot wants to put up with it and possibly even pay them for their lack of effort then it's their business. I worry about myself and my own posts. It takes only a second to scan someones post who doesn't take the time to respond adequately. I just make a mental note to not take the time to go read their discussions (if they even have any).

I am quite annoyed with those comments, specially when I like to reply in each comment on my discussion. That's why when those comments comes up, I don't know what to reply to them. It's also annoying when it's obvious that they just did that to make money in myLot. They think that more post equals more money. It's a good thing though that myLot rewards quality post, not quantity.

is it really that matter? i myself don't comment in one or two words, but i don't really care about it. it is annoying to receive one-word comments, but people do give them and that's why i don't think about it. for me, it is a matter of what i give, what i contribute. a great leader once said 'don't ask what people can give to you, but ask yourself what you can give to people'. yet of course, i expect myloters to "response" to my discussions, but people giving that response show that they read your discussion and they pay attention to it. it may sound unfair, but once again it's mainly about self-satisfaction for me. thank you

Being a very wordy person myself, I don't think I've ever answered a question with just one or two words in my entire life. Maybe the person or persons doing that don't realize how frustrating it is for the person that took the time to ask a thought-provoking question to just get an "awesome" for a reply. They may just want to add to their numbers because I can't imagine that it would add much to their earnings. Perhaps just a gentle reminder from the staff might solve the problem.

May be this is awkward but,i think in some discussions we can say just "yes" or "no" but generally it is useless ,because people needs your our compliments not just rude comments ........

I have seen that members posts if you ask something they will just type in a one word reponses. I think that most likely their responses were deleted and they have probaly not made any money so I just ignore it.

Ihave been really fortunate in that most everyone has responded to me with several sentences. I try to do the same thing when I respond to a discussion also. I do not like it to be responded to with one word either if I can take the time to post a discussion then they can take time in responding also.

I see it happening a little too often and to be honest it's pretty sad and unintelligent. It gets me a little upset seeing that they post one word in a discussion and it counts as one post? Do these people actually see their earnings increase by this. If they are maybe we should all just post one word answers to as many discussions as possible in a day. Would we really see that much of an increase in our earnings if we did that.
