At first thought I would feel bad and enraged may be.
But on pondering I would accept his gesture, if ofcourse it is a down to earth one. No harm in in teaching others the good in life. After all we all learn from others and then teach others about the same.

It depends how they do it, some can come over patronising which I find totally unacceptable and blantantly rude like they are trying to show you up or make you look a fool or show you up to others as an idiot. But if it's done friendly and you know that they are only trying to help you and assist you and to appreciate you for what you have taught them so they want to pay you back in a nice way then I will appreciate that.

It is okay with me sometimes if I know the person really means well and isn't trying to act like they are the ones who came up with it. It gets on my nerves though when I spend my time teaching someone something, and they go about teaching what I taught them and acting like they were the one who came up with it.

I try to be patient. I do not tell them, this is what I told them. I try to listen to their advice patiently and take it on my stride. I do not wish to hurt their feelings.
