Dinner tonight is Reuben's, but what do I serve with them?

I am making Reuben's for dinner tonight, but I have no idea what to serve with them. I was thinking some homemade French fries and a salad. Any better ideas?

Well, a salad and homemade French fries sounds nice. I can't really think what else really 'goes' with a ruben. I keep thinking French Onion soup, but I'm not so sure. Hope it was a good meal.

As much as I love French onion soup, I am not sure it goes well. It seems that nothing much goes with Reubens's except potato chips and pickle spears.

I'd suggest potato salad if you got some at the deli, making it from scratch is too late already huh? Since the french fries are homemade, that's a treat. I wouldn't have bothered with the salad unless you need that to fill someone up. Heck, give them kosher dill pickles. I've either got to get some corned beef and make it myself or find a really good authentic deli here.

It was too late to make poatato salad. I did end up making some potato salad later in the week to go with another meal though.

Ah, a Reuben. Salad will always receive a vote from me. Homemade French fries, also a good bet. (Especially with some seasoning like the hash round things from Taco John's.) As a child, however, I think remembering Reubens as a meal unto themselves. :)
